The path to bring new tech to market - to bring something new into the world that has never existed before- is incredibly challenging. It was a joy to work with Matt Blois at C&EN over the last few months to share my #startup journey building Rivalia Chemical Co. Matt deftly describes the evolving #innovation ecosystem and how Andrew Wang at Standard Potential Co., Sudharsan Dwaraknath at Quorum Bio, and I are navigating it. The three of us have benefited tremendously from programs like the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Chain Reaction Innovations and Activate - critical in filling early-stage funding gaps for hard tech innovators. I firmly believe more efforts like these - more shots on goal- will help launch technologies that will make our world a better, more sustainable, and more energy efficient world.
