Tuesday's Mindful Tip: One of the most common issues my small business clients report is trying so hard to keep on top of everything they need to do which leads to them having, feelings of overwhelm. I give them a little exercise when they feel this is beginning to happen. If you ever need a moment or two for yourself, this is fantastic for that, too. It is called the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 technique: This technique works: by shifting your focus from anxious thoughts to the present moment. It can help to calm your mind and body and reduce your feelings of stress and anxiety. First, find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. 💡Look for 5 things you can see. 💡Find 4 things you can touch. 💡Listen for 3 things you can hear. 💡Identify 2 things you can smell. 💡Notice 1 thing you can taste. Try it, then let me know how it works for you. It is such a simple, yet powerful little technique.
