It’s FAQ Friday where we answer some of the common questions we get asked about becoming a teacher. This week: What placements will I have on the SEND specialism? For the SEND specialism, you will undertake two placements, in two different schools. At least one placement will be in mainstream in KS1 or KS2 and one placement will be in a SEND provision. Your SEND placement will be in either spring term or summer term, depending on capacity within our partnership schools. Typically trainees on this route spend two terms in mainstream and one in a special school. #faqfriday #getintoteaching #traintoteach #teachinessex

In Delaware, the program supports aspiring K-12 public school teachers in obtaining post-secondary degrees and becoming educators throughout the state. Grow Your Own was established in Delaware in 2022 through House Bill 430 via State Rep. 🌍✨ Celebrating World Youth Skills Day! This day is crucial for several reasons: 1. Bridging the Skills Gap: As industries evolve, we must equip young people with relevant skills to meet job market demands. 2. Fostering Innovation: Skilled youth bring fresh perspectives and creative solutions to global challenges. 3. Promoting Inclusivity: Skills development provides marginalised youth with opportunities for meaningful employment, breaking the cycle of poverty. Sam Blacknell, Peter Baum and Ryan Seeley do some fantastic work promoting vocational skills, whether its attending school and college events, support the training providers running our 6 week site ready skimming course, supporting SkillBuild or supporting all our college partnerships and their learners. Investing in youth skills is key to building a brighter, more inclusive future. Let's empower the next generation to thrive! hashtag #WorldYouthSkillsDay #YouthEmpowerment #SkillsForFuture #UN 🌟📚 To mark United Nations World Youth Skills day, we want to celebrate all of the work we are doing to provide young people with the skills they need for a successful career in construction. 🏗 Across the UK, we’re currently supporting 54 colleges, including 1,131 apprentices and 2,311 full time students, to ensure they have free access to high-quality resources, technical support and tutor training. We also run summer schools at our training academies to school-leavers, completely free of charge.🎓 Last year alone, 204 attendees completed our free six-week ‘Site Ready Skimming’ course giving them the access to impact immediately on site. These activities help to ensure that young people have valuable, relevant experience and are ready to hit the ground running when they start college. We care about building better for people and the planet. #BuildingBetter #WYSD #ThistlePartnership
