Feeling guilt can also be a healthy sign that you are a responsible person. Responsibility can take on many forms. Sometimes, we can produce feelings of guilt if we believe we could have done things differently in the past. The true test is to know if you should accept responsibility in others actions or not. If you should accept responsibility for their actions, then you have a clear path forward. If you shouldn't accept responsibility, boundaries are in order. Lest we forget – the humans and the animals who served during times of conflict. This ANZAC Day we pay tribute to the brave men and women who served their countries during times of conflict. We also take a moment to remember the unsung heroes of war: the animals who stood alongside them, offering their loyalty, courage, and companionship. From the trenches of World War I to the battlefields of World War II, animals played vital roles in various capacities, often with little recognition for their contributions. Horses, mules, and donkeys were among the most commonly used animals, serving as cavalry mounts, pulling artillery and supply carts, and transporting soldiers across treacherous terrain. Dogs also played crucial roles, serving as messengers, sentries, companions and even search and rescue workers. Their acute senses and unwavering loyalty saved countless lives and provided comfort to soldiers amidst the chaos of war. Cats were also used to help hunt mice and rats on ships and in the trenches. Pigeons were another invaluable asset, carrying vital messages across enemy lines when communication lines were down. Dolphins were trained to detect underwater mines, protecting ships and naval personnel from unseen dangers. While their contributions were immeasurable, the animals of war often endured great hardships and dangers themselves. On this day of remembrance, let us not forget the sacrifices made by these noble creatures. Their service and sacrifice remind us that heroism knows no species. While the enlisted team sargeant executes the target and manages the team. Each role is only possible when the other role is fully committed to their lane. And that’s why I love doing the shit job.
