A great achievement for Vicente Trapani S.A.! 🌱💪 We are proud to share that we have been recognized with the Best Global Performance award in the 2024 Sustainability Index by Gerencia Ambiental. This recognition, unique in its kind in Latin America, evaluates the sustainable management of over 90 companies and highlights our commitment to sustainable development across three key pillars: Environmental, Economic, and Social. This achievement reflects our ongoing efforts to optimize resource use, promote circularity, and contribute to the well-being of our community. 🌍 In the environmental area, we strive to implement increasingly responsible processes; socially, we strengthen our commitment to people by creating actions with positive impacts; and economically, we deliver value in a sustainable and transparent manner. None of this would be possible without the effort, passion, and dedication of all the collaborators who are part of this great family. 💚 Every contribution, no matter how small it may seem, has allowed us to reach this milestone and prove that together we can make a difference. This recognition not only celebrates what we have achieved but also motivates us to continue innovating and growing responsibly. Our commitment remains strong: to care for the present while building a better future. 💪 Thank you for being part of this journey! Let’s keep working together for a positive impact that inspires and transcends. 🌟 #Sustainability #TeamTrapani #ProudTrapani

Having that said, as part of sustainability initiatives, tree planting is one of our favorite to contribute to restoring habitats and increasing biodiversity. For instance, Aptiv's partnership with One Tree Planted aims to plant 30,000 trees in the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve, which is crucial for preserving local ecosystems. Through these initiatives, MCC Label positions itself as a leader in sustainable labeling solutions, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to environmental responsibility and community engagement. IT'S A WRAP! In 2021, Burðardygd set up and steered the award-winning Burðardygt Vinnulív - Burðardygd Corporate Sustainability, a small CEO network of businesses in the Faroe Islands. Upon completion of the three-year project, in 2024, the Faroese Employers’ Association started a larger sustainability network for all of its members, so the project was discontinued, and the work continued under a new organisation. The project’s purpose was to catalyse the green transition through collaboration and sustainable business practice. We worked collaboratively on key projects we believed would impact the whole system in the Faroe Islands as well as individually to build strategic plans which aligned with scientific recommendations on climate and nature. KEY HIGHLIGHTS: 🥇 Winning the 2023 edie International Sustainability Leadership Award for Partnership and Collaboration. 👩🎓 Over 50 sessions (on climate, nature and circularity, sustainable finance, research, effective governance, communications, reporting etc.) with support from leading sustainability experts and leading companies. 🤝 Collaborating with the Faroese Umhvørvisstovan, Environment Agency to create a GHG calculator for the Faroe Islands. 💲Funding research in collaboration with waste management companies. 🙋♀️ Actively engaging with the Government and other national bodies. KEY RESULTS: ✅ 90% of companies surveyed at the end of the project had a sustainability strategy and discussed this regularly with the Board of Directors. ✅ 100% of companies setting targets to reduce their scope 1, 2 and (limited boundary) 3 GHG emissions, with 30% involved in GHG removal projects. ✅ A collective scope 1 GHG reduction of 26% in the first year and 3% in the second year (data unavailable for the third and final year). ✅ Seven companies with GHG targets validated by Science Based Targets initiative. ✅ 70% of responding companies had starting ESG reporting. Thank you to everyone who supported and participated in the project! #FaroeIslands #CorporateSustainability #Collaboration #ESG #Transparency
