Vicinity Centres’ Post

That’s a wrap on this year’s 16 Days of Activism Against Campaign but our focus continues.   As members of the Champions of Change Coalition and in support of UN Women Australia's SAFE. EVERYWHERE. ALWAYS campaign, Vicinity acknowledged this year’s 16 Days of Activism with media screens at all centres and orange illuminations at Mandurah Forum, Chadstone and QueensPlaza.   Led by our Gender Balance Employee Advocacy Group, Vicinity’s support of the 16 Days of Activism campaign also extended to our Chief People and Organisational Development Officer, Tanya Southey hosting Professor Kate Fitz-Gibbon on our guest speaker series and extending old mobile phone donations through DV Safe Phone to our staff members to supplement the more than $13,000 of phones already donated by Vicinity since 2023.   Supporting our raising awareness of the campaign are also important changes to Vicinity’s Family and Domestic Violence Policy, extending the period of leave for those directly impacted by family and domestic violence and for those who are supporting close relatives of those impacted.   [Image description: Chadstone’s grid shell roof illuminated in orange hues; Mandurah Forum’s dining precinct with orange lighting around its internal pool’ lit up in orange; QueensPlaza front façade lit up in orange] #Vicinity #ShoppingCentres

Really grateful for the opportunity to speak with the Vicinity Centres team during the 16 days campaign and to Tanya Southey for making this possible. Looking forward to further work together.
