In this clip from my chat with Bri Conn from Childfree Wealth, we talk about something we don't discuss enough - how your income doesn't always match your money smarts. Here's the thing - she shared how 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝘅 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴. Sound familiar? But there's a simple strategy that really works: setting up your money to work for you 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 it hits your account. It's not about restricting yourself - it's about making smart moves upfront so you can enjoy life without the stress. This conversation got me thinking about how many of us are earning well but might need a bit of help with the nuts and bolts of managing it all. Talking about money. Many people avoid talking about money. They think it's a terrible thing to do, but with money you can eat better, spend your time how you want, do things you love, have better health and take care of the ones you love. So why not talk more about money? Wouldn't be beneficial if children grew up with more knowledge on how to make, spend and manage money? #money #financialliteracy #moneyeducation

Research suggests that our money habits are starting to form by the age of seven, so it’s important to start talking to children about money early. Talk to them about: where money comes from and what you use it for how to make good choices and learn from their mistakes the benefits of saving how to make choices about what to buy with the money they have the difference between wants and needs. #TalkMoney Week #DoOneThing

Three money concepts your kid should understand by age 10: 1. Money is Finite – once a dollar is spent, you can’t use it for something else 2. Delayed Gratification – You can’t have everything you want the minute you want it. If you really want something, make a plan to save up for it. 3. Make Saving a Habit – save at least a dime for every dollar you earn and make it a habit! #moneysmartkids #teachkidsmoney #miltonthemoneysavvypup Aspyre Wealth Partners®

Happy National Talk Money Day! Said by Ben Franklin, "Money never made a man happy yet, nor will it. The more a man has, the more he wants. Instead of filling a vacuum, it makes one." Biggie was a bit pithier, "Mo Money Mo Problems". Today, November 8, is about teaching people to stop being afraid of talking about money. That's a good thing... #finlit Here's a good piece from Forbes, "How To Get Better At Talking About Money". From the same article, and I could NOT have said it better, here's the #1 thing to remember about money. Understand That Money Doesn’t Dictate How Awesome You Are I like that. A lot.
