You can do so many incredible things with the latest smart phones these days as they are nearly as powerful as many of the laptops in force at any company or organization. I learned over the last year that I can create what might be a new genre of art I invented known as, "Infinite Digital Art" which the intention is to display to the viewer what the meaning of Infinity would be visually. Very similar to what we all knew of the work of Andy Worhol, though quite a few steps forward. My last post is an example of this. This one scales things back a bit and just focuses on one image combined with a song from Brazil. And every once in a while, I believe, it's not a terrible idea to allow your artistic side of your mind awake a little as that can make you better at whatever task, project, presentation, leading a team, or even an entire organization a bit easier to do. Music itself is gratifying, and also unifying. Enjoy. Listen to Magalenha by Sergio Mendes on #SoundCloud https://lnkd.in/e_y2ursH

Is your smartphone a computer or a phone? This isn't just a philosophical question—it's the crux of a legal battle that could reshape the tech industry. Epic Games' latest lawsuit against Samsung Electronics and Google brings this issue to the forefront. At its core, this isn't about app stores or security features. It's about how we legally classify our most-used devices, with implications reaching as far as the Sherman Antitrust Act. Consider this: A PlayStation is clearly a game console. An e-reader is designed for books. But what about your smartphone? It's a Swiss Army knife of computing—capable of everything from video editing to software development, from AI processing to running a business. Unlike purpose-built devices, smartphones are general-purpose computers that happen to make calls. Their versatility is precisely why they've become ubiquitous. This classification has profound legal implications. If smartphones are "general-purpose computers," they could fall under different antitrust and right-to-repair laws than "specialized devices." As an engineer, I'm rooting for common sense to prevail here: modern mobile phones are computers, plain and simple. It's time for our legal framework to catch up with this reality. How might acknowledging smartphones as general-purpose computers change our industry? #TechLaw #MobileComputing https://lnkd.in/eFw3XKk7
