I once set up a meeting with a potential partner and couldn’t hear them for a good 5 minutes, even though all the sound settings were fine. Turns out my laptop had connected to my colleague’s Bluetooth speaker, which I had used just once before and was locked in a cabinet on the other side of the office. After 5 minutes of hearing faint whispering voices coming from seemingly nowhere, my colleague came into the meeting room with the speaker, looking very confused.

Nothing like audio issues during a crucial proposal meeting to bring on the cold sweats, especially when the chairman from the client side is waiting! We were all set, everyone tuned in, and then... silence. The stress of trying to fix it while everyone watched was intense 🥶
One time I had to do a presentation for a design brief and the software kept telling me needed to ask for permission for a meeting I was supposed to be hosting!! What!? 😂
Top this one: Presentation in a Global Meeting to the CEO and Regional Sales VPs and in the middle of the presentation the visual dies on me so the rest of the meeting was done via audio only with me repeatedly saying, if you would take a look at slide____. Ever since I have the PTSD and trust issues with any VC system....
I once shared my screen to present a document and realized it also showed the messages in the chat group (I was definitely not complaining about someone in the meeting😂🤣)
I don't know why this happens, but in some accounts from an institution I provide services to, others can't properly see what I share on the screen when I have the chatbox open or when I try to use other tools. And it goes completely blank if I minimize or use other apps.
What always seems most difficult to me in video conference rooms is the management of cables, one for the screen, one for the microphone, and one for the sound. Ufff this is the worst experience.
One time, I had to spend half of the meeting fixing an issue because my laptop and the display were not connecting properly. It was quite embarrassing.

5moOnce the CEO of my company had a meeting with a team of investors, everything was supposed to be set up but then the images on the computer screen were not being shown on the big screen, and they were trying to fix it for some 15 minutes and for some reason, they ended up calling me (I was their legal specialist, not IT 😂) and to make matters worse the computer was all in Chinese (they were Taiwanese). Long story short, I freaked out for 30 seconds, and then followed the steps in my head to make monitor one display on monitor two, and it worked, they started their presentation and I went to the bathroom to clean all the sweat that poured down my face.
