Hapag-Lloyd is a great example and a frontrunner in the adoption of Gen AI. The Hapag-Lloyd story is an impressive example of how LLMs could be used to enhance the efficiency of the Audit Department in a large container shipping organization. This use case goes beyond traditional chatbot applications, delivering real value to the audit process. Thank you, Ulrich Daniel and Michael Shtelma, for bringing this project to life! It was a great pleasure to witness this transformational journey.

An insightful publication by Doctor Amos Fox, Ph.D., here are my key takeaways: ■ 𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭: As a strategy that disrupts adversaries' data and operational tempo, hindering their ability to execute long-range, stand-off attacks effectively. ■ 𝐀𝐈’𝐬 𝐃𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭: AI can improve decision-making speed and situational awareness but may also increase vulnerability by flooding decision-makers with excessive data, potentially leading to deception risks and operational overload. ■ 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞: The inherent complexities of land combat, such as territorial control and protection of populations, cannot be fully resolved by AI, which struggles with applied scenarios outside of controlled environments. ■ 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲: Emphasizes the need for military doctrines to integrate AI thoughtfully across data, tempo, and kinetic operations, with clear guidelines on its ethical use and interoperability among allied forces. ■ 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬: The lack of standardized policies across allied nations on the use and governance of AI in warfare poses significant ethical and operational challenges for coalition-based strategies.
