Must commend the commitment to screw patients in new and innovative ways. Unfortunately, the solution lies not in standardizing billing formats, but in reimagining care delivery cost structures. Insurance is already at 90%+ claim ratio. Healthcare costs need to be cut in half. Yes it is true that at the top end India delivers the best healthcare at 1/10th global prices. But this argument is facetious because India needs it to be 1/20th not 1/10th and that requires some re-imagination, not better billing.

Empowering Accessible Healthcare: Navigating India's Unique Challenges 💡 India's healthcare landscape is unique - low insurance penetration means navigating $75 billion in annual out-of-pocket costs. For many families, these sudden expenses become more than just financial burdens - they're moments of panic, fear, and uncertainty. Did you know that approximately 23% of individuals resort to taking loans to cover their medical expenses? This staggering statistic highlights the immense financial strain faced by many when dealing with unexpected healthcare costs, often resorting to sources like loan sharks, relatives, and informal lenders. Moreover, about 6% are forced to sell their assets, while over 50% deplete a significant portion of their savings. Shockingly, as per the Public Health Foundation of India, these financial challenges lead to approximately 55 million people dipping into poverty each year due to healthcare expenses. Adding to the complexity, data reveals that in tier 2 and tier 3 cities, a significant 20% of household income is dedicated to healthcare expenses. This disproportionate burden underscores the urgent need for accessible and affordable healthcare financing solutions. We at Zenifi believe that simplifying medical bills into easy monthly payments can alleviate the pain and empower people to have over their finances.

💰 Are you tired of watching your hard-earned money disappear into healthcare bills? You’re not alone! Managing healthcare expenses can feel overwhelming, but there are practical strategies that can help you save significantly while still receiving quality care in India. ✅ Start by taking advantage of preventive healthcare services like regular check-ups and screenings. Many government hospitals and clinics offer these at low or no cost, allowing you to catch potential health issues early and avoid larger expenses later on. 💊 Opt for generic medications instead of brand-name drugs. Generics often provide the same effectiveness at a fraction of the cost—making them a smart choice for your wallet! 🔍 Don’t forget to compare prices for medical services and procedures. Use websites and apps that offer price transparency to find the best deals and ensure you’re not overpaying for care. 📋 If you have health insurance, be sure to understand your policy. Know what your coverage includes to avoid unexpected charges. And when visiting a doctor, ask about cost-saving options like payment plans or discounts. 🏥 Explore government schemes like the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which provides coverage for hospitalization to economically weaker sections of society. Also, check out community health programs that offer services based on income. By implementing these strategies, you can take control of your healthcare expenses and keep more money in your pocket. And remember, AarogyaPay is here to help you navigate your healthcare costs effectively. ✨ With AarogyaPay, access exclusive deals, cashback offers, and seamless payment solutions tailored to your healthcare needs. What any Govt should do. 1) Focus on making doctors so that Healthcare critical illness also become cheaper. 2) Basis the cost treatment cost and operation cost be put on ceiling prices fixed. 3) Equipment import to Hospitals should become cheaper or in-house manufacturing is produced. We should work on technology transfer rather than Buying equipment from rest of the world. 4) Income tax be abolished , start transaction tax on daily money transfer through banks , going directly to the Govt. % of such tax may be ascertained basis the data. 5) Every citizens like Aadhar should have Medical Aadhar with that anyone can avail free medical assistants and for serious illness subsidised way. insurance can pay directly to the Hospitals. Monthly one charge can be deduced from a user which can be paid to insurance companies.

Personal reflection. Decent healthcare 🆚 Private or public or PPP Oddily yet as expected, #Ethiopia rushed decades ago to totally privatize healthcare (ወያኔ 🤭) to reduce its primary responsibility, while resisting (always at the expense of the rural majority) liberilization of other less controversial sectors. Aside the h/inflation, poor quality services & medicines at exorbitant prices (biz is biz) is now the norm for the majority with no better options (public 🏥 🏪 in shambles, underfunded, with way insufficient # of medics). Costs now beyond the reach of any form of local/social cost-sharing. የተገላቢጦሽ ሆኖ አስተሳሰቡ። ፓርክ, ኮሪደር, የውሸት ባቡር, ሓገር በቀል ምናምን... Few, if at all, self appointed ምሁራን 👨🏫 had the decency to raise any issues or see any contradictions here, particularly on structural priorities of reforms needed to do away with all the macroeconomic distortions (they foolishly defend instead). Fewer even know the difference. 🤔
𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗥 𝗕𝗛𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗬𝗔: #HealthcareReform Healthcare in low- and middle-income countries is getting a facelift, shifting from public provision to publicly funded insurance at private facilities. Take India, where government-backed insurance programs since the mid-2000s have aimed to expand healthcare access for low-income communities. But, with only 41pc of Indian households covered and many unaware of how these programs work, can these public-private partnerships (PPPs) deliver universal healthcare? The numbers tell a compelling story. Read more https://ow.ly/5C6550SpWNn
