Collaboration with Critical Mineral Powerhouses is the Way Forward. India is proactively securing its future critical mineral needs by engaging with key producers to bring processing expertise into the nation. Our country is already a member of the US-led Mineral Security Partnership (MSP), whose aim is to catalyze public and private investment in critical mineral supply chains globally. By aligning with nations that have abundant reserves of critical minerals, we stand to gain advanced technical expertise and knowledge required for the transition to clean energy. If India is included as the US Critical Mineral Agreement (CMA) member, we can support in ensuring sustainable and equitable supply chains for critical minerals & to promote the goals of the US Inflation Reduction Act. This becomes much important when China has imposed export sanctions, and we need more investments in India to support not only the US but global supply chain. Moreover, this collaboration will boost the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), under which US automakers are actively seeking localized supply chain & sourcing of battery components from member countries. We are at a crucial juncture, and India's decision to invest in developing global partnerships will help us build a more resilient supply chain of critical minerals. #CriticalMinerals #CleanEnergy #GlobalPartnerships #MineralSecurity #EV #Battery #Materials #Sustainability #US #Inflationreduction
