Happy New Year! To my fellow dev's, here's to another 365 days of shipping features before 3AM, discovering "clever" shortcuts that future you will hate you for, writing code that only lightly haunts your dreams at night, and valiantly slaying bugs you secretly spawned during last quarter's all nighter. Our commit messages might be cryptic, our coffee consumption borderline concerning, and our merge conflicts downright apocalyptic, yet we’re in it together. Here’s hoping 2025 is the year we finally fix that bug from 2019, although, if it’s not broken enough, do we really need to fix it, or is it a feature now? May your stack traces be short, your merges conflict free, your PRs sail through without a “needs more tests” comment, your deployments be blessedly meltdown-free, and your coffee supply be bottomless. Wishing everyone a year of cosmic code clarity, and just enough chaos to keep it interesting. Bring it on, 2025!
