Not the ideal holiday companion: the flu bug. 🤒 But even with a stuffy nose and a warm blanket, I managed to make the most of my downtime by finally completing the IDF course: Data-Driven Design: Quantitative Research for UX. 📊💻 Learning never stops! I have been taking many courses online, and many of them were from the IDF. I must say I was not a fan of this one and you can see it by the time it took me to complete it. The course would greatly benefit from incorporating more visuals to enhance the learning and memorization experience. Especially when tackling complex subjects like quantitative research and analysis, which can be challenging to grasp. #ContinuousLearning #DataDrivenDesign #UXResearch

A word of wisdom I make sure I remember ever so often is 'The day you stop learning is the day you start dying'. This helps me to keep going because time waits for absolutely no one (certainly not in this age). I want to say a big thank you to KR Scholars and Grow with Google on Coursera for an opportunity to build my skill in UX design. In a couple of months, I will have a portfolio or two and more skills added to my tool box! #newskill #UXdesign

Today’s UX learning was all about methodology, selecting the right participants, and crafting scripts to guide interactions during user research. We even dove into two detailed examples to apply the theory! On the creative side, I took some time to practice my Figma skills by designing an animated loading screen. Every step is a learning experience! #UXDesign #UserResearch #Methodology #Figma #DesignPractice #LearningJourney

I had so much fun going through the posts and pillars of this beautifully designed course on UX Design Foundations by Uxcel It's amazing the way the course has been designed offering detailed reads, visually engaging and bite-sized insights. Going back to the basics felt like a trip down memory lane. Onwards to applying what I learned to solve every day UX problems through effective content design. #uxdesign #foundation #uxcel #learnings #contentdesign

Question for people getting started with, or recent to UX and product design: Where are the best places to learn UX today? Which resources are/were more valuable for you as a beginner? Schools, bootcamps, books, tutorial sites, mentorship sites, youtube channels... anything goes :)

UX Byte - 59 💁♂️ Turning User Mistakes into Learning Moments We noticed users often made mistakes, like skipping steps or entering the wrong data. Instead of just showing error messages, we saw this as a chance to help. We added hints and tips to explain mistakes, turning these into learning moments. This reduced user frustration and made them feel more capable. We learned that mistakes can be helpful moments for learning, not just roadblocks.
