🌳 Very excited that our #ESVD summary paper has been published. 🐝 With over 9,400 monetary values (currently over 10,000) from over 1,300 valuation studies, our paper provides a great insight in the field of #economicvaluation of ecosystem services and some developments over time. 🏔 The paper is an updated perspective 10 years (and a bit 😉) later following de Groot et al. (2012). It takes you to the vast depths of economic valuation, capturing values for all ecosystem services from ecosystems such as the deep seas as well as the great mountains and all in between. ❄ But with data alone, we are not there yet. The paper also follows the stream of the enormous momentum and interest for this type of information. It highligths how the data can be and has been applied and integrated in different private and public decision-making processes to halt #biodiversityloss and #ecosystemdegradation. Our mission is to make nature count and to structurally integrate the 'full value' of ecosystem services in everyday decision making by governments, businesses and individuals. Together with my great colleagues Victoria Guisado Luke Brander Dolf Groot Mieke Siebers Philipp Schagner and previous contributors Stefanos Solomonides Andrea Ghermandi among others!
gefeliciteerd! Dit zijn echt interessante ontwikkelingen die grote impact kunnen maken.
Congratulations Vince van 't Hoff and team.
