Undocumented immigrants in the United States make substantial tax contributions annually. In 2022, they paid approximately $96.7 billion in federal, state, and local taxes. This includes $59.4 billion to the federal government and $37.3 billion to state and local governments. These contributions encompass various tax types: • Payroll Taxes: Undocumented immigrants paid about $25.7 billion in Social Security taxes and $6.4 billion in Medicare taxes in 2022. Despite contributing to these programs, they are generally ineligible to receive the associated benefits. • State and Local Taxes: At the state and local levels, they paid approximately $15.1 billion in sales and excise taxes, $10.4 billion in property taxes, and $7.0 billion in personal and business income taxes. These figures highlight the significant role undocumented immigrants play in supporting public services and government programs through their tax payments.

T&M is always the best for honest pricing, quality control, and over all best experiene for the client imho. Even when asked to give a working pricing model for scoping in a project, a conservative estimate for breaking the scope down in Tshirt sizing to generate a quote will still be based on T&M. One of the many reasons why people should work with The Gnar Company
Sometimes good ideas have bad outcomes. Just ask Red Lobster… You may have heard that Red Lobster closed a bunch of stores due to financial troubles stemming partially from an endless shrimp promotion. Customers loved it. They loved it so much that Red Lobster lost over 10 millions dollars on it. There’s a lot to be said for why it happened, but really it comes down to this: they miscalculated and it bit them (turns out shrimp is more expensive than the unlimited breadsticks at Olive Garden). It’s something we see in the agency world all the time. It’s why we prefer “Time & Material” project scopes - the equivalent of ordering a la carte off the menu. A T&M project scope outlines the project goals and deliverables with a rough timeline, but leaves room for adjustments as the project progresses, which always happens. We hit almost all our estimates (and even come in under estimate sometimes) and communicate up front about the variables that may impact price as we progress. This approach ensures we’re not cutting corners to hit a budget and our clients have complete transparency into what we’re doing and how we’re spending our time (no vague “Strategy” line items). It’s a win/win - it gives our team the flexibility to build the best possible product and our clients tighter control over where their dollars go.
