When we think about robots, the image that usually comes to mind is a rigid, metallic structure, like those in the impressive videos by Boston Dynamics. I recently stumbled upon this fascinating video by Derek Muller on his YouTube channel Veritasium, showcasing a different side of robotics. The video highlights several types of robots made from soft materials – capable of crawling, jumping, and even changing shapes.
