AXA Belgium in the spotlight during the last “Investor Roundtable”! Together with Etienne Bouas-Laurent, we had the opportunity to exchange with a group of 40 investors and analysts on the Belgian insurance market, AXA Belgium’s competitive positioning, and how we deploy the Group “Unlock the Future” strategy locally. If there were only 3 things to remember: ◾ The Belgian insurance market is attractive (profitable and with clear growth drivers) ; ◾ AXA Belgium has a leading position and is well geared to grow top and bottom-line, after a successful transformation (combining capital efficient model in Life and technical excellence in P&C) ; ◾ Being part of a larger Group will help us scale fast on new technologies in the coming years, in particular on Data & AI. I would like to thank investors and analysts for their interest into AXA Belgium. And of course our customers, distribution partners, and employees for driving value on a daily basis. More information and related documents can be found at the following link: https://lnkd.in/dsbUD7S8 Etienne Bouas-Laurent, Alban de Mailly Nesle, Christophe Knaub, Anu Venkataraman, Mikael Malaganne, Abhishek Sharma, Kristof Verbeke, Ken Vanpee, Thomas Mathieu

What’s something you’ve heard or read this week that has particularly resonated with you? Here’s mine. 👇 “The companies that have really done well have first built the capabilities to grow. Then, when they thought about the places to grow, it was much easier to succeed because they were differentiated. They had the underlying wherewithal to innovate, to drive customer success, to drive insights that are going to yield the type of growth that we need.” These wise words come from Paul Leinwand in an interview for Insurance Thought Leadership. It particularly resonates with me because it underscores the critical importance of building foundational capabilities before pursuing growth opportunities. In the context of reinsurance, digitisation isn't just about adopting new technologies or streamlining operations - it's about laying the groundwork for sustainable, long-term growth. This means investing in the right digital tools, data analytics and automation processes that enable the organisation to innovate and respond to market changes. Thus, the company doesn't just react to opportunities as they arise; it proactively creates them by being better equipped to assess risks more accurately and deliver superior service. I highly respect Paul’s emphasis on the necessity of a well-planned digitisation strategy that does more than just implement technology. It must also build the capabilities that make growth both achievable and sustainable and move a company away from survival mode. #GrowthStrategy #BusinessSuccess #Innovation #Reinsurance
