Happy 1st birthday to us! Today marks 1 year since the launch of Wicker Basket although it feels like we have been on this journey forever! To be completely honest, diving into this very competitive RTD (ready-to-drink) beverage industry as a small company (just me) seemed like a little crazy idea at first 😅 Coming from a bartender background, this industry is a whole new game. Starting with the concept and experimenting with flavours was just the beginning. Then the reality of the relentless challenges starting with building a brand, learning about marketing, figuring out finances and funding, the list goes on. At times I find myself overwhelmed by the whole thing and it feel as though my brain is literally about to explode. I have had more than a few sleepless nights and there will be plenty more for sure. But through it all, I have learned to take things one step at a time, focusing on each small and manageable task. Slowly but surely, I have been piecing things together as best as I can because that's all I can do! The real joy in all of this? Knowing that something as simple as a can of drink has the power to brighten up someone's day, to become a part of their memories. It is the thought that the drinks I have created and the brand I am building can bring a little happiness into someone's life. So here is to another year of growth, challenges and hopefully many more happy memories made over a delicious tea spritz. Join me on this journey, and let's see where it takes us! He attends ALL of my presentations and performances, encourages me when I’m feeling down, pushes me to do better when I’m being lazy, and he always has my back. Before him, I looked to my job for that support. While sometimes it worked out, way too often was I left hurt and disappointed. You know why? Because I wasn’t letting my job just be my job. I was trying to get it to fill a role in my life that my contract never stipulated. Double check your contract… unless you see it explicitly stated that your job will support and fulfill you, stop expecting that. Sis… it’s ok to take a step back and find your support and fulfillment outside of your job. It doesn’t mean you can’t still operate in excellence, it just means that you’re actively choosing to live a life that is not dictated by how your day at work went. Happy 1 year anniversary of the day I finally had enough Enough of the lies Enough of the silence Enough of not speaking up Enough being afraid to lose financial stability because frankly some things HAVE to be more important, and my panic attacks and lack of patience for my husband and kids were a glaring signal that something was off Many of us have such a high tolerance for boundaries being crossed, there are lots of reasons for this. APPRECIATION ✨ Finding myself today right in the middle of huge balloons 🎈🎈and confetti 🎉 made me do it: write this post. In a world of (self-)optimization and constant striving for more, I would like to do something rather unusual here on LinkedIn: pause for a few minutes to share my open and honest appreciation for the wonderful team I have the honor of working with every day ❗️ As long as I can remember, I have been driven by “doing the right things” - for me, this goes hand in hand with a strong belief that shared core values are essential for enabling teams to achieve “the right things” together. My former personnel leader always quoted this simple yet profound saying: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” (source unknown) Being surrounded by people who share the same mindset and values fosters connection on a deeper level and builds trust, which can truly enhance team success. Sometimes, it’s not about the fundamental and big things; it’s especially the little things, like knowing that a few balloons and a handful of confetti would make your colleague really happy - or simply (and I personally think that is quite a big one for most of us actually) saying that someone’s work is appreciated. I appreciate working with our team every single day - even when there are no shiny rose gold surprise birthday bash balloons around. Going through tough times together makes the easier and more straightforward periods so much more enjoyable and fun as well. Eventually, those tough times can and will turn into fun memories as well! 🏔️ Why am I even sharing these rather basic and simple thoughts? Because I am convinced that we rarely tell the people we work with how much we appreciate them - unless we achieve something significant. As a former professional cross-country skier, there’s one thing I will always remember: “Successful cross-country skiers are made during summer!” Essentially, the work put in long before athletes compete in their first race of the season is when it truly counts. The same goes for building teams. Don’t always make it about the big battles: remember to share your appreciation for the little things along the way! 💚

🌍 International Smiles 🌍 Months on the road taught me this:   **People are different, yet so much the same.** We look out for:   ➡️ Ourselves   ➡️ Our families   ➡️ Our communities  We all seek happiness, hope, and love.   We want to belong to something bigger—but also crave simple, joyful moments. This trip introduced me to incredible people and perspectives.   It also revealed something universal:   **Smiles are international.** Take our product, the *Besties*.   They’re **cute**.   They spark a universal reaction—adoration. 🐾  And that’s the magic.   No matter where you’re from, **cute things are cute. Fun things are fun. Smiles are universal.** In challenging times, creating moments of joy matters more than ever.   Smiles are a reminder to stay optimistic, even when life feels heavy. As I celebrate my 24th birthday today, I want to share the 24 life lessons I have learned along the way: 1. Create your own meaning in life. 2. Sometimes, just “being” is enough. 13. Seek guidance from nature’s balance. 14. Easy jobs may lack fulfillment. 15. Use non-verbal cues to avoid collisions. 16. Take action to pursue your dreams. 17. Recognize that everyone has insecurities. 18. Understand that rudeness often stems from personal issues. 19. Material possessions are replaceable; don’t dwell on their loss. 20. Confidence is key to avoiding embarrassment. 21. Prioritize your time based on what truly matters. 22. Don’t let pride hinder resolution. 23. Express gratitude and appreciation frequently. 24. 𝟑𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐧 ☀️ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐈 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐭? I celebrated my 30th birthday on Saturday and on reflection I have been thinking about what my biggest lessons have been so far in life and I wanted to share them with you. I’ve narrowed it down to 3: 1. Enjoy the passage of time - We’re always so busy and trying to race through life to get to the next stage, take a step back and enjoy it, all of it. It passes by at a rate of knots and if we don’t enjoy it what has it all been for? 2. Build a good support network - Have a network of people around you that build you up, not pull you down. They’ll give you genuine advice and not tell you what you want to hear. Ultimately they support you and your goals just as you do theirs and celebrate your wins with as much delight for you as you have for yourself. 3. Continue setting yourself goals and targets in all aspects of your life - Keep striving for more, don’t settle for anything less than what you think you are capable of. Always have something to work towards and keep the mind and body active. You only get one go around, make the most of it! These are but a few of life’s endless lessons that I thought I’d share! Live your life, enjoy it, make memories! Here’s to another 30!

This week Saylor celebrated our 3rd birthday 🤯 I am so proud of the crew and all we've achieved. Below is my little welcome message to the team at our annual offsite where we painted, solved a murder/mystery, and ate a deliciously chaotic Hibachi din. Thought I'd share... - Welcome to Saylor’s 3 year old birthday party!! As many of you know... I have a 6 month old. She is incredibly cute and is growing and changing dramatically on a weekly basis. When she was born she could barely open her eyes and poop. She was navigating the world for the first time. 6 months later - she’s alert, joyful, pooping a lot… but struggles too. She’s learning how to sit up, eat solids, and sleep through the night. Now that’s a 6 month old. When I picture her at three years old… she’ll be walking and talking, learning how to put on her own shoes, asking questions about the World, and learning how to play with other kids. 6 months after founding Saylor - we hired our first employee. Today... Saylor turns three and we are a team of 41. Now we’re a bit more mature than a three year old child, but it's important to remember how much more we have to learn. After three years we’re still doing things for the first time, we’re asking questions about our place in the world, and we’re learning how to work together better. This is such a critical time for us as a company. We have momentum with our clients & partners, an incredible team, and a clear strategy. We’re just three years old. Imagine when we turn 5 or 10 or 20. We have such an exciting life ahead of us and I can’t wait to get old together.
