Prefect demolition: The Cockenzie Power Station chimneys, standing 487 feet tall, were flawlessly imploded in 2015 using expert planning and 150 precisely drilled explosive points per tower The 2015 demolition of the Cockenzie Power Station's twin chimneys in Scotland was a remarkable feat of precision engineering. Each 149-meter-high chimney was drilled with approximately 1,500 carefully positioned holes filled with 160 kilograms of nitroglycerine-based explosives. The explosives were strategically placed to ensure the chimneys collapsed inwardly and impacted at about 140 meters above the ground, minimizing the risk to surrounding areas. The operation also employed over 4,000 meters of shock tubes with dual detonators and backup systems to guarantee a safe and synchronized implosion. The turbine hall, demolished in a separate event, used 120 kilograms of explosives targeting its structural columns. The meticulous planning and safety measures by Brown & Mason ensured the project was executed seamlessly video rights : aaronwitt and brownandmason #demolition #concrete #engineering #construction #civilengineering #civilconstruction #engenharia #engenhariacivil #engenheiro #engenheirocivil #ingeniero #ingenierocivil #technology

Sorry, but the destruction of energy security assets at a time when there is so much uncertainty raises my blood pressure! Look at several European countries exposed to unreliable external energy reliance and you will appreciate the severity of the consequences.

I’m hoping I can see the stacks at West Burton come down in a similar manner… if that’s the plan for them.

Looking at the effort and "precision blasting" of 1500 points and the end result and yet the USA government still promotes that the collapse of the twin towers (417m high) on 9/11 was caused by the aircrafts flying into it, resulted in at a perfect demolition of the buildings

That's impressive precision!

Excellent planning and execution guys you got it spot on 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Had the privilege of a front row seat to watch the masters in action blow up an entire old thermal power station. Still on you tube I believe.

Clearly a Master Blaster

Verry impressive but whitout dust control, what I realy see is 150 tons of silica dust spread in the air. Verry not good.
