Research from Michigan State University has found that the E2F5 gene may play an important role in breast cancer development. The model, conducted in mice, is unique because the cancer metastasizes in the same manner and location as human breast cancer. Munshi, MD, found that a novel combination therapy promotes cancer cell death and tumor regression in mouse models of pancreatic cancer.
