I've joined….Pipe17! And I'm also proud to announce that we just raised our $15.5m series A round. There’s a vast world after "Thank you for your order." There are now more selling channels than ever - social commerce, marketplaces, traditional commerce platforms, EDI, and all sorts of AI agents capable of capturing orders. Sellers want order management *capabilities* but not Order Management Systems, which are firmly stuck in the past - both technically (legacy on prem monoliths) and strategically (digital commerce is no longer monopolized by big box retailers). Pipe17 was founded to offer order management capabilities without being an OMS. Once a selling channel captures the order, you throw it to our network and our leading AI then intelligently routes orders and order-related data (products, inventory, prices, etc) between your ERP, WMS, PSP, 3PL(s), selling channel(s) and any other back office or 3rd party system that needs order-related data. We have hundreds of endpoints in our ever-expanding network. The network, with its intelligence provided by AI, comes together to form an entirely new category we're calling "Order Operations" (OrderOps...think DevOps, RevOps, etc). In time, Order Operations will disrupt the OMS market in the same way that headless commerce disrupted the (now) legacy commerce platform market. Our customers include brands (Allbirds, Wyze, NOBULL , etc) and 3PLs (UPS, FedEx, Ryder System, Inc., etc). I'm joining as COO to help scale the company and build out the category in the market. I also have the pleasure of working again with my longtime friend and mentor, Mo (Mohamad) Afshar, along with longtime Oracle friends and colleagues Dave Shaffer, John Shao, and Anand Kothari. 2moThis reminds me of a conversation I once had when working for a global e-commerce retailer: 👉 "We need more small parcel carriers because they're more flexible and their costs are lower." (because they don't need a massive admin and marketing "engine", etc.) 🤔 "But the small carriers can't send us tracking information because their systems are not advanced enough to communicate with ours." 👆 "Our systems need to be able to consume any type of data that anyone sends us. If a carrier can only use excel then we need to be able to consume excel!" We didn't call it 'interoperability' then but it was that - and it worked a "treat"! #Integration can be simple if you have the "vehicle". #Digitalisation isn't spending 💲 💲 💲 ; it is about *how* you work.
