💡 The Confidence Gap Is Costing Women - and Businesses! Women are underestimating their abilities despite performing at the same level as men. This Confidence Gap starts in childhood and persists throughout their careers, leading to fewer women taking leadership roles when offered, negotiating for raises, or applying for promotions. It's not a question of competence (!) but confidence - and it’s holding back both individual potential and company growth. This gap has real consequences. Companies lose out on diverse perspectives in leadership, and we miss opportunities to shape industries in a more female way. What’s worse, this issue is systemic, reinforced by societal biases and traditional expectations that push women to second-guess their abilities. At Ada Growth, we're tackling this challenge head-on by equipping companies to foster confidence in their female employees. Closing the Confidence Gap isn’t just an HR initiative - it’s an urgent business need for anyone looking to build strong, diverse leadership teams. #ConfidenceGap #WomenInLeadership #GenderEquity #DiversityAndInclusion #LeadershipDevelopment #EmpowerWomen #WorkplaceEquality #BreakTheBias (c) Martha Gattringer

Thank you so much dear Kosima Kovar - important topic to point out. As long as we read about “astonished faces” when women participate in business events short after giving birth or carrying their babies with them … there is still a lot to do. 🙏🍀💪

This is an excellent point, Kosima Kovar and Amel Derragui there is indeed a confidence gap. However, for women who have found their confidence, the challenge often shifts to selling it internally without facing negative labels like 'aggressive' or 'man in a skirt.' Many women choose to remain in their more modest roles not because they lack confidence or ambition, but because it’s the safer, socially acceptable space. Therefore, the perspectives we need to challenge aren't just about women's confidence, but more importantly, society's acceptance of confident women as a whole. #confidence #women #leadership
