Over 1000k of races, and more than 5x the height of Everest this year Another weekend flashed past - two nights in darkness, two sunrises - and no, I am not talking about politics or soccer competitions. This is the reality of running ultra-marathons. In January I didn't set out to run 1050k or run 5.7x the height of Everest but things add up and this is the result so far. Nine races averaging 116k. Learning: 1. Keep training and persevere 2. Incremental amounts add up 3. Focus on small steps not the big number 4. Listen to the experiences of others Chongli 168k / 8788m total elevation / 41hrs 40mins #sport #ThisIs50 #China #ultramarathons #trailrunning
