For the last two weeks, we have hosted a sustainable Clothes Swap Pop-up in our Ballymount office. Organised with The Sustainable Life School, the Pop-Up gave our colleagues the opportunity to explore the idea of circular fashion and give the clothes they don’t wear anymore a new life. Today, we wrapped up the Clothes Swap Pop-up with a sustainable fashion workshop where we learned about the impact of fast fashion on the environment and the ways to educate and encourage our employees to make more sustainable fashion choices. A big thank you to Natalie and Diane from the Sustainable Life School for their support. #Connecting4Good

🧐 After being part of the sustainable and circular fashion world for a while an observation that I have made is that the main feeling we produce with these concepts is guilt. 🌟♻️ I firmly believe this negative feeling linked to sustainable and circular fashion is a key reason for its inability to succeed at scale. For it to be adopted at scale, for it to attract multiple generations, the feeling and experience linked to circularity needs to be positive, empowering, and individualistic. 💙🐸🪩My children's book The Dancing Frog in Blue Jeans encompasses this idea by talking about how a pair of jeans is made and its circular life in a positive manner. Don't misunderstand me, it's not about closing our eyes to the dark side of fashion but rather reshaping the culture of sustainable fashion so it becomes part of all our lives. What do you think? #circularfashion #positivity #denim

“Sustainable Fashion Week (SFW) 2024”, which just concluded its largest event yet. Running from September 20 to 29, it focused on the theme “The Power of Repair.” A unique takeaway is that by repairing a garment, you extend its life by 1.3 years, reducing its environmental impact by 20-30%. What’s even more surprising is that one-third of people in Britain were never taught how to sew, making repair not just about sustainability, but also about learning lost skills. This highlights a global shift in how we think about fashion—moving from disposable fast fashion to more conscious choices that respect our clothes and the planet. Sharing this can give your audience a fresh perspective on the industry! #sustainablefashion #sutainability #globalfashion #fashionworld #fashionnews #pakistanfashion #greenplanet #textileindustry #textile
