A Letter - A reminder To, My sisters and Brothers, Kerala, India. From, Unemployed Engineer, Brother. Reg : Taking a professional Career in Engineering especially Chemical Engineering. Dear All, I, kindly requesting all my brothers and sisters to think 100000 times before choosing Engineer as your career. Still, if you going to choose Engineer as your prime; Do analysis on; · The percentile of Job vacancies after 4 or 5 years from now in your selected career. · What is the projected growth rate if you choose a particular career? · How many students has become successful in achieving a perfect job (in terms of work culture, job guarantee, salary, designation, company...) after their graduation. · If you are joining a specific college; enquire about the college placement cell and ask about the pupils who got placed, collect their contact details, call them and enquire about the possibilities and vacancies. · Take the confirmation guarantee from the college authority on placement in written letter and not PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE. “PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE IS A FRAUD CRITERIA BY MANY COLLEGE AUTHORITIES”. · Always join the college based on their performance rank in their respective universities. · Humble request that,” Don’t opt for management quota”. Always be in the merit list. · Try to acquire some skilled work knowledge or certification before a professional course, so that a job will be there for you to sustain. · 99 percentage of educational consultancies are making huge money from your admission leads. Don’t fall onto them. They will say free consultancies. But in reality, they are getting paid from your educational fees. · Better late than losing your hard-earned money of your parents. Your relatives will say to join any course ASAP so that you could save the year. Don’t rely on it because its your life your career. · Check for the job opportunities in the future that would be created in government and private sectors. Also, the student graduation rate, passing rate, volume of students graduating all over the world (also India). · Finally, the college/institution might say “ You will get a job abroad, many are making millions of dollars”, if you hear that, DON’T OPT THAT COURSE EVER IN YOUR LIFE. For the past 10 to 15 years, the student will be choosing the engineering career in any discipline based on the trend; viz college life, influence from friends and families. The parents would take a loan at some point for supporting the education; ending up as a debt for them after unemployment. Your decision without proper analysis and study may affect your life. Work for you now and for the tomorrow. SO GUYS PLZ DON’T BE AT RISK BY INAPPROPRIATE DECISIONS. DREAM, DREAM, DREAM; THINK, THINK,THINK AND PUT THEM INTO ACTION, ACTION,ACTION – By a famous person #chemicalengineer#engineer#letter#reminder#collegelife#selection#facts#think#petrochemicalengineer

I received an email from a fresher who wanted to work for free. 😶 When I read the email, I immediately asked him to visit the office. After some discussion, I came to know that his father took a 20-lakh loan for his education, and he completed his bachelor's from a reputed university, which claims to have a minimum of 15 LPA placements for all students. 🙂 When I asked him why he wanted to work for free, he said, "I haven't been able to find a job for the last 1 year. Everyone needs experience, so I want to work and gain experience to get a job." I immediately asked him to join us on a good payroll. Teach real-world skills to the students. Don't just focus on theory; otherwise, they won't even be able to make a living for themselves. Dear Companies, Hire freshers, train them, and make them ready to earn a living. One is a learner, and keep learning. No one is born multi-talented. We practise. We learn. We keep practising. We don't get hired either because of not knowing a specific language,or not having specific country experience. A fresher becomes an experienced only when we get hired and is able to practise. These are not the qualifications we lack. These are the things we get along the way. #physiotherapist #physiotherapistjobs #physiojobs #uaecareers #uaejobseekers #uaejobs #alainjobs #doh #dohlicense #countryexperience #hiringfreshers #hiringprocess #jobhunting

How a 2012 Engineering graduate, married and having kids got a job in 2020? Manorama (name changed) passed out as a Electrical Engineer in 2012, got married in 2013 and had kids in 2015. She used to take care of the family for almost 6 yrs after marriage and had no time to take up a job. In 2019, she approached me and wanted to have a career in IT. MY FIRST PERCEPTION: How serious is she with taking up a career now? She had visited with her husband and her husband was a normal business owner. Thuse were the days, when I thought of starting a side business to train IT freshers and help them to get job. The determination, integrity and fire to learn and take up a job compelled me to take up this challenge. I knew it was not an easy take. She enrolled for the course, and when the days of training passed, she was outperforming from the existing students who were freshly graduated. In Dec 2019, she passed an endurance test from one of the company and was placed. 2 of my candidates out of 10 got placed in first shot and she was the one. LEARNING: 1. Identifying the right candidate is the toughest job 2. When you invest time and money on the right candidate, they do wonders 3. Determination and integrity are the key factor to excel in any field. What are you thoughts ? #freshers #freshersjobs #life #determination #integrity #hardwork

# 1 Salary & Takeaways!! Today while interacting with final year students about their salary expectations as they are going through placements. It is not so shocking that young blood is dreaming to get salary of minimum 50k as a fresher but... the job market is not what you expect its always depend on SUPPLY & DEMAND (and everyone knows how engineers' community is growing). Yes, I accept this realization comes only at late 20's earlier I am also the same. Let me tell you about my first salary back in 2017, Freshly brewed Instrumentation engineer got 8000 INR + Travelling Allowances, while working in a remote sales job; landed at this job through some online portal (I guess Naukri portal). I have done this only for 3 months, but takeaways from this job are still the biggest asset of my life: 1. I can plan a travel route by train from anywhere and book tickets with high accuracy rate in TATKAL too. 2. Surviving on minimum meals, being the pure vegetarian its tough at coastal areas. 3. Initiating conversation with strangers, thanks to Indian Railways. 4. And many more but my favorite is when after getting the first salary my father quoted, " Salary is not what you get in first day of month but it's what you save after expenditure at end of the month and experience you have gained...!! " #life_experience

"I am switching my field Mom!!!! I am taking IT in this orientation." A call that I made to my parents in 2005. During my first year of college, I decided to switch my field of study from electrical engineering to information technology. Though seats were available in reputable electrical engineering programs at Nirma University and LD Engineering College in Ahmedabad, I opted for an IT program at my existing college instead. At the time, I felt that girls were better suited for IT careers, opportunities seemed more plentiful in that field, and IT offered better job prospects overall. After four years of hard work and witnessing the recession of 2007-2009, when fewer IT companies recruited on campus, I realized the importance of job security and began looking for government positions. I found that IT degree was not a requisite for many central PSU jobs; options like banking, defense, Indian Engineering Services, and Indian Administrative Services were only available for me. Driven by ambition, I prepared for and cleared the exams after all switching was my choice. When family members ask if I regret leaving electrical engineering, I reflect on this journey. Switching majors sparked a hunger in me to build myself professionally. Without taking that initial leap, I may not have developed the same drive or created my personal brand. Though not the path I envisioned, my choices made me who I am today, and for that I am happy and proud. Accepting the choice and creating myself in a bank psu I am proud of. Even so more I am proud of taking a leap into the corporate world and leaving the job security blanket. #selfchoice #careerchoice #selfmotivation #womenempowerment #manifestation #corporatelife #career #proudself

Some important don’ts for freshers part 4 Some important things must be understood while developing career in construction industry , as this is core industry never work like other industries specifically like IT industry , here experience is very important and as this is very vast industry it takes time to prove your skills following things are important 1.Consistency - Don’t change jobs frequently as projects are long duration in construction project completion should be the reason of changing jobs. 2.Acceptance - don’t reject Job first two jobs should be done to earn the experience and not the money as we are learning with others cost any kind of site with what ever scale of the project should be acceptable. 3.Working hours - considering project based industry don’t assume 9 to 6 timing of working. As a site engineer we must be first person to come on site and last person to leave the site. At the initial level this is very important so in future you can have a good control site. 4. Refuse - don’t refuse to work , whether it is your job role or not any thing asked to do like taking levels , preparing BBS , making markout at site , measuring and checking bills and so on these are the works which will enrich your experience add skills for future.
