📌Paris 2024: Paralympic Games can catalyse access to #AssistiveTechnology🏅 📢Read ATscale CEO Pascal Bijleveld’s thoughts on increasing access to #AT as the Paris 2024 #ParalympicGames gets underway. 👉”We cannot forget that access to advanced assistive products used by athletes is still far from equal. A lack of access to assistive technology has been demonstrably linked to lower achievements, fewer medals, and reduced representation from athletes in low- and middle-income countries. ” ➡️”However, we must acknowledge that access to advanced assistive products is not the only barrier to competition. In low- and middle-income countries, the provision of advanced #Wheelchairs or #Prostheses must go in tandem with the maintenance and improvements to training, funding, and national sports infrastructure.” With over 1.5 million tickets purchased for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, let’s use this opportunity to drive visibility of #AssistiveTechnology, all year round!📅 🌐Open The International Platform on Sport and Development link here 👉https://lnkd.in/dp_z6-rp #UnlockTheEveryday #Paralympics2024 #BeyondSports #Paris2024

🏗️ #Paris2024 : $4.5 billion invested in sports infrastructure. But after the Olympics, what’s next for these facilities? At GetOut, we see this investment as an opportunity to make sports more accessible. Imagine: Olympic facilities open to amateurs, connected through a single booking platform. 🌍 That’s our vision ; turning every facility into an accessible, and dynamic space for all sports lovers. What do you think? Should Olympic infrastructure be open to the public? #paris2024 #olympics #olympicgames

It feels quite obvious that by LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games huge leaps will be made in the convergence of sport and entertainment. Makes me wonder if there will be competition between the Hollywood studios on who can make their IP part of the show. Warner Bros. Discovery seems to be in a great position for that, being a major broadcast partner. What I hope to see more of in top of Hollywood entertainment is the involvement of the creator world. I mean Snoop Dogg and Tom Cruise are nice to see, but not so relevant for youth. If the International Olympic Committee – IOC wants to address youth properly, they need to make the usage of creators a major pillar too. Some good experiments with that from Tokyo2020 and Paris2024, now LA28 has to make it a core pillar.

As we come down off the Paris Olympics high into our half time break before the Paralympics it's a good time to think of the legacy from the games. Many conversations focus on the stadiums. The built infrastructure. Not all legacy is bricks and mortar however. Sometimes it is an investment in a life changing technology. Something that needed a chance to shine on the world stage to show its value. This is our challenge for Brisbane 2032 to uncover those opportunities and help them blossom. #Olympics #paralympics #paris2024 #brisbane2032

Olympic and Paralympic Games are all about legacy. Well… they’re about sport, and legacy. This week the eyes of the world are on Paris as it hosts the summer Games, and while the focus will right be on the athletes, there’s also an ideal opportunity to inspire the future designers and constructors. Some of the venues for this year’s games, from the impossibly chic climbing wall and skatepark, to the temporary arenas at the Eiffel Tower and Les Invilades are simply stunning - as is the timeless Paris-Bercy arena. To paraphrase Mark Southgate, sometimes the best advertisement for the built environment is the built environment. These stunning structures, nestled at the heart of one of Europe’s most iconic and enduring cities, show what’s possible for those looking to create something that really captures the imagination. Yes, sport can excite and inspire, but so can construction. If we’re looking to create a legacy, we’d do well to remember that…

The 2024 Olympics are coming to an end this weekend, and there's been some absolutely fantastic marketing around it. 🏃🏼 Starting with the clever and inspiring Channel 4 Paralympics ad, which personified unchangeable forces and showed how Paralympic athletes overcame their challenges, this creative campaign was a result of collaboration between Channel 4 and inclusive marketing agency Purple Goat Agency. Another great Paralympics ad was the one created by the organisation itself, showing beautifully animated athletes challenging clichés surrounding the games. OMEGA also smashed its Olympics campaign by creating an immersive video that shows athletes 'competing' across Paris's most famous landmarks, or inside OMEGA's watches. ⌚ Aside from the high-production campaigns, there have been plenty of Olympics-style posts across all socials that have gained some really good traction! What were some of your favourite Olympics ads this year? #Marketing #MarketingAgency #Olympics2024 #OlympicsMarketing
