For art reproduction, advertising and proofing, colour accuracy is absolutely Critical. That's why we use multiple levels of colour management, starting with the Calibrite Colorchecker passport 2 as a physical reference point setting the foundations of the process. #colormanagement #artprints #printing

Interaction of light wavelengths…
Digital Twin, AI, XR and IoT advisor to Energy, Education and Transport Industries and Govt. LinkedIn Top Voice for Emerging Technologies
Ever wondered why screen colour palettes are RGB (Red Green and Blue) whilst printing palletes are CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black)? Well the first palette is beaming the desired colours right at your eyes whereas the second one the pigments are effectively complicated "shadows" - blocking all of the undesired colours from white light to reflect only the desired one back to your vision. This simple experiment shows the weird ways different light wavelengths interact to begin to explain why we might need both an RGB and a CMYK pallette. Kudos to Peter Donahue of Art.Pete.Repeat on Instagram for this simple but enlightening video - for more colour theory from Peter check out his LinkTree here: https://lnkd.in/eaQmYvUH #displays #optics #printing

This visual example of how RGB light works has so many parallels to my work in digital innovation and data intelligence. So much of what is happening in the AI and data space is about relationships to other data (people, places, events, things, actions) and each source of data goes through a series of prisms and filters at scale to create a unique matrix on the other side. At the end of the day there are infinite layers to consider, but the largest issue holding back innovation is understanding that changing the perspective of the use case changes what someone sees. #innovation #data #visualization
