We are huge fans of the amazing work of Alastair Gibson and Carbon Art 45 who have created the Vision148 Carbon Piranha totem and we are working with the team to build a 2nd version of the 'F1 Piranha Wall' (example image) as a homage to the iconic liveries of the RS500 race cars, there will be a special twist to our wall and will involve our Charity partners Race Against Dementia and our Club members. What is your favourite RS500 racing livery? #RS500piranhawall #RS500 #Cosworth #RaceAgainstDementia #carbonart45 #kickstarter #texaco #camel #labatts #shell #lui #kaliber

Hey everyone, I’m reaching out to share something near and dear to my heart: Minutemen Racing, UMASS Amherst Formula SAE (FSAE) team, is gearing up for our first car — and we need your support to make it happen! Our team of passionate engineering students is building a high-performance racecar from scratch, competing in one of the most prestigious collegiate motorsport events in the world. But to get there, we need funding for parts, travel, and everything else that goes into making a racecar that can compete at the highest level. That's where MinuteFund comes in. What's MinuteFund? MinuteFund is a fundraising event that will directly support our efforts to design, build, and race our car. Whether it’s purchasing materials, testing our prototype, or getting to the competition, every dollar raised helps bring us closer to the starting line. Why Should You Get Involved? Empower Future Engineers: Every donation goes directly to helping students gain hands-on experience in engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork. This is more than just about racing — it's about preparing the next generation of engineers for the real world. Exclusive Access: As a donor, you'll get exclusive updates, behind-the-scenes glimpses of our progress, and special perks like team gear and invitations to our events. It’s Personal: As someone who’s part of this incredible team, your support means a lot to me personally. Seeing my friends, teammates, and peers put in their time, effort, and talent to build something from the ground up is inspiring, and I’d love for you to be a part of this journey with us. How Can You Help? Donate: Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a huge difference. Head over to our https://lnkd.in/e3MRYaKt to show your support. Spread the Word: Share this with your friends and family! The more people who hear about Minutement Racing, the bigger impact we can make. Follow Our Journey: Keep up with us on social media for updates, highlights, and a look at our racecar in action. #Fundraising #FSAE #EngineeringExcellence #Teamwork #Motorsport #Innovation #UniversityofMassachusettsAmherst #MechanicalEngineering
🚨 It’s Time 🚨 We are thrilled to launch the MinuteFund, a fundraising initiative supporting the development of our race car and the future of Minutemen Racing at UMass Amherst. From November 13th to November 27th, we are aiming to raise $3,000 to further advance our suspension and chassis design—critical components for the success of our team and our race car. Your support will help us continue pushing the boundaries of innovation in motorsport engineering. Every donation makes a difference in empowering the next generation of engineers. Join us in this exciting journey and help us reach our goal. Donate today! https://lnkd.in/ez638Juk

Not your standard linkedin post about immigration or customer experience… something a little different On Sunday i completed my first Hyrox race an intense mix of running and weightlifting. It was tough, humbling, and surprisingly rewarding. A huge thank you to everyone who supported through donations and encouragement. As a thank-you, here are three lessons learned along the way: 1. Facing the 100kg Sled pull and push was Intimidating. Seeing that sled in the warm-up area brought on pure panic. I hadn’t trained at that weight for 50 meters, it felt impossible. But preparation and trust in the process made it manageable—albeit with shaky legs and plenty of doubt along the way. 2. Resilience shows up when its needed the most By the final few stations, both quads and calves cramped, making every step so painful. Somehow, the body kept moving, and the 200-meter walking lunges got done, one painful step at a time. 3. The Appetite of a WWF Fighter during training is Real (I say no more) 😅 4. The Biggest Critic is often yourself - Even after finishing the race, self-critique crept in, focusing on the time instead of the effort. This experience was a reminder to celebrate the journey, especially when overcoming challenges that seemed insurmountable. Hyrox wasn’t just a physical challenge. It was an opportunity to grow mentally and emotionally. Challenges like this remind us all what’s possible, even when doubt is loud. If you’re thinking about taking on a challenge, go for it—you might surprise yourself. #Hyrox #Resilience #LessonsLearned

ONE MINUTE FASTER… My latest Hyrox race resulted in me shaving one minute off my previous time. So it got me thinking… In the five weeks since my last Hyrox race in Toronto, I’ve trained six days a week, spent hours in the gym, ran 15-20 miles a week (while still rehabbing a hamstring injury), continued to log food every day, reduced body fat and cut 5 pounds, and drank almost a gallon of water every day… And all just to be one minute faster? Absolutely! Because it means so much more than just one minute…that minute represents -The days that I showed up for myself to train when I felt less than motivated -The healthy food choices that I made that would fuel my training -Prioritizing my recovery, so I could rehab my hamstring and not develop new injuries -Making sure I was getting adequate sleep Staying focused on my goal to improve That one minute represents the small improvements and gradual steps that are sometimes so painstakingly slow that you don’t even notice them…but they’re happening. That one minute can make all the difference when you’re trying to set a new personal record while holding a plank, running a little extra, or on a larger scale for our first responders out there…fighting with someone who is trying to take your gun. There’s a lot of growth in that one minute. So here’s to celebrating all of the “one minutes” out there. The wins, though seemingly small, will add up to some major progress over time! Who knows, maybe next race…I’ll be two minutes faster.
