What an incredible first day at health.tech conference in Munich! Whether you're a startup founder, health tech expert, or investor, you probably wished you could clone yourself to attend all the fascinating events. Our Head of Incubation, Kseniia Choni, led an insightful panel discussion on Navigating market entry: Strategies for patient-centric medical device startups with Laura Anhorn, Dr. Ron Lehnert, Jhonatan Bringas Dimitriades, MD, and Carsten Laue. Alongside her, one of our coaches Farina Schurzfeld engaged with four successful founders and a go-to-market expert. From conquering the NHS to becoming a DiGa leader and scaling beyond 1,000+ hospitals, they shared their journeys through the complex healthcare market. Key takeaways included finding a product-market fit that transcends borders and pursuing business models that serve patients cost-free. The panelists didn't just highlight their success strategies but also the pitfalls they encountered along the way. Thank you for the great discussion Lucy Jones, Philip Heimann, Dr. Friderike Bruchmann and Maximilian Greschke. Startups, like coobi had the opportunity to speed date with investors and continue their conversations over coffee. A special shoutout to the conference organizers for their sustainability efforts, providing water bottles and reusable cups for the excellent coffee. The learning of the day shared by Dr. Laura Seifert from HV Capital who discussed the pros and cons of DiGA from an investor's perspective: 💬 The Importance of Speed to Market: Is DiGA slowing things down, or not? 💬 Breaking into the "Iron Triangle": How to navigate the crucial relationships between health insurers, doctors, and patients. 💬 Market Reach: Startups have to have strategies to capture 5-10% of the market share and understanding the market size. Can't wait for day two! If you're attending, make sure to ping us and meet our team. Let's connect! #healthtech #startups #investors #marketentry #patient #sustainability #innovation #networking #HT24 #partnership #busineesdevelopment #collaboration #fundraising #meetup

Health care is fundamentally about cooperation and relationships. Between clinicians, between doctors and patients, and beyond. So, what else could the health.tech conference be about? We had the privilege of engaging in some truly insightful conversations and panel discussions at this year’s conference. It was inspiring to see that even the big companies are embracing collaboration and partnerships, recognizing the immense potential of working together with startups to foster mutual growth. A standout moment was the roundtable with Okan Ekinci, MD MBA from Roche, where we delved into new ways of working with corporates and explored what platform business means for founders. It was enlightening to see how these concepts can help scale startups effectively. Another highlight was our discussion with Ursula Costa from DayOne - Healthcare Innovation. We talked about the possibilities for incubators to partner and learn from each other, sharing insights and fostering innovation together. We felt immense pride watching our head of Incubation, Kseniia Choni, take the stage and moderate crucial discussions for startup founders. It was equally exciting to see other participant's posts highlighting our coach, Farina Schurzfeld's memorable insight: "DiGA is a revenue model, not a growth model." Our team, including Kseniia Choni and Susa Horvath, had engaging conversations with early-stage #femtech founders during a speed dating program, and we introduced our Vision Health Pioneers Incubator program to many enthusiastic participants. Thank you to everyone for the new connections and reconnections, and for all those “aha” moments when meeting in person those we previously only knew through screens. It was good to meet you Adam Formanek, Przemek Grzywa, Jonas Albert, Aline Noizet, Christian Kunze, team coobi, Galina Bankova ❤️🔥, Miriam Mirza, Tom Sieron As our beloved prototyping coach, Niklas Laasch, aptly said, “After the health.tech conference is before the health.tech conference. See you at the next one—prepared and well-rested! ☺️” #health #healthtech #startup #conference #HT24 #partnership #collaboration #innovation #fundraising #valuebasedcare #münchen #startupincubator

I believe the Polish healthcare system is very startup-friendly. Why? There is (almost) no public funding. You have to be international from day one and have a commercial strategy in place from the very beginning to be successful. Execution is everything. I know great Polish health tech startups that are not even considering the Polish market but decide to go straight to international markets. They are not domestically driven, as the Polish public healthcare system does not welcome innovation. Am I correct? I will find out next week during Targi Salmed in Poznań. The discussion will be led by Artur Olesch, and I will have a great pleasure to discuss that on stage together with: 1. Ewelina Barylska, COO, Salve Medica. 2. Nikoletta Magdalena Buczek, Innovation manager, Instytut Matki i Dziecka. 3. Bartosz Borucki, CEO, Smarter Diagnostics. 4. Jakub Chwiecko, Managing partner, NIL IN - Sieć Lekarzy Innowatorów. 5. Łukasz Mańkowski, Managing partner, Aligo Venture Capital. Is anyone planning to join the event next week? What are your thoughts regarding the healthcare startup ecosystem in Poland?

Healthcare startup ecosystem in Poland – what does it look like in 2024? 🩺👀 When you look around the global medical environment, you will discover numerous #startups that accelerate innovations in new diagnostic and therapeutic solutions. But how does the #healthcare startup ecosystem really work in Poland? This issue was deeply discussed at Targi Salmed in Poznań, where Przemek took part in a stimulating discussion led by Artur Olesch and talked with Ewelina Barylska, Nikoletta Magdalena Buczek, Bartosz Borucki, Jakub Chwiecko and Łukasz Mańkowski. They noticed that healthcare systems resist innovation, prompting startups to bypass domestic markets and target international ones where innovation is more welcomed. What would help them? Here are some key insights from the discussion: 💡 Early collaboration between medical startups and hospitals is vital for validating startup ideas, adapting to real medical needs, and ensuring the effectiveness of introduced solutions. 💡 Good funding, strong motivation, and the best team are also crucial. 💡 The success of a startup hinges on establishing a global network, taking an international approach, crafting a strong business plan, and prioritising collaboration and idea-sharing. What would you add to this list? #revolveatevents #healthcareinnovations #healthcarestartups

Venture builders have the power to transform #digitalhealthcare. This may seem like a bold statement, but the more we work with such entities, the more we recognize their vast potential. 📌The venture builder model is crucial because digital health startups face a high failure rate of 80-90%, said our special guest Sylvia Butzke during Forbes Bulgaria Health Summit. She presented NLC Health Ventures – a world-leading healthtech venture builder and early-stage investor. Healthcare is unlike any other business field; it involves significant regulatory complexity and uncertainty. The #venturebuilder approach could provide the #healthcare industry with the speed it needs to keep up with other sectors where #technological advancements are already in place. 👉 Check out our insights on that conversation on our website: https://lnkd.in/dEAGHkfn
