Couple of days back one of my candidate for HR manager position was asking me whether he should take the position with my client or the other offer he was holding. If i had told him to join my client, i would have been for sure benefitted, but rather advised him to ponder into his upcoming role and growth prospects and decide. He took the right decision which will stand him in good stead. #role #growth #sustainability

Today, I was presented with an offer for the role of Regional HR Manager. The opportunity aligns well with my skills and experience, and the company culture seems promising. However, after careful consideration, I have decided to decline the offer. While the role holds great potential, it appears that my value exceeds the financial parameters of the business. Making this decision was tough, but I believe it is the right one for me. #HRManager #CareerDecision #ProfessionalGrowth

Do you class yourself as “ambitious”? Fascinating conversation this week with an HR leader I’ve know for years on the topic of ambitious people. She’d just been through a raft of appraisals, And promoted two people in a three person team, leaving the other to continue in their other role for the foreseeable future. Interestingly, the employee who didn’t get promoted, was the self proclaimed “ambitious go getter, desperate and ready to climb the ladder”. But while a good employee and good at their job in the main, had made a few mistakes and had rubbed certain members of the SLT up the wrong way through over confident comms, and vocal designs for their future with the wider business. The other two, were stable, hard working and devoted employees who got the job done quietly and effectively without shouting about it. Remember, Ambition isn’t about words or demands, it’s actions, ethos and delivery that will get you to where you need to be. I’m sure you can relate to many a story that’s similar? #culture #career #recruitment #hr #humanresources StormX Recruitment - Accountancy & Finance/HR/ Office Support Specialist Recruiters

Finding Motivation Amidst Challenges: A Journey to Empowerment ✨ Navigating through my professional journey has been an enlightening experience, particularly reflecting on my time at a previous employer. Initially hired on a contract basis, I found myself immersed in Human Resources tasks, far beyond my job description as an Administrative Executive. Despite the absence of official recognition or salary increments for over three years, the exposure and team camaraderie fueled my passion for HR. However, the work environment took a downturn with management changes, pushing me to voice my concerns, only to be met with minimal acknowledgment. This pivotal moment led me to reevaluate my career path, ultimately guiding me to a new role where my contributions are valued and recognized. Today, as an HR professional, I enjoy a fulfilling career with appropriate compensation, recognition, and growth opportunities. This transition underscores the importance of seeking environments that not only challenge us but also acknowledge and reward our contributions. It's a testament to the fact that when one door closes, another opens to a path of empowerment and career satisfaction. #MomentofService

#helloconnections It has become very common to see people venture into an HR Career without knowing what the job description⭐ ‘Human Resources Officer’ actually entails. They probably see the HR guys chilling, going on vacations and having loads of fun without knowing how they got to that point in their career.🌐 When starting out any career at all🪄, start planning your strategy towards getting to the top from the onset. HR is more than just a people role. It is a business role. When asked why you want to kickstart a career in HR, Instead of saying “I like and relate well with people”, your answer should be “I see organizations failing and I want to help businesses grow”.💯 An organization is a group of people working together to achieve a common goal. An HR Manager is the person that coordinates people and brings them together to achieve that goal. If an organization is failing, the HR manager is majorly to be blamed as he or she is saddled with the responsibility of making a good, profitable and goal orientated organization. It is a well known fact that managing people can be quite frustrating, As a matter of fact, humans are the most difficult creatures to manage. As an HR manager, always remind yourself that you are not managing people because you want to have fun, you are managing people towards the achievement of a goal. Here are 5 major things you need to know before venturing into a career in HR.🎊☀️ #hrcommunity #hrmanager #receuitment #recruiters #careerboost #hrcareers #hr #careerboost

Stressed from HRBP Role Change? How to Thrive After Promotion? Answers: https://lnkd.in/gvpHrHqM #HRBP #CareerTransition #HRStruggles #RecruitingLove Hey everyone! 😊 I recently got what I’ll call a “promotion” to an HR Business Partner (HRBP), but I’m really feeling out of my depth here. Let me give you some background: My role transitioned from being a recruiter to now an HRBP. While I’ve got the education, certification, and generalist HR background, jumping into a strategic position like this is proving to be a steep learning curve. To be honest, I miss recruiting more than I thought I would. My company isn’t hiring at the moment, which is why I had to take this new role. 😩 Now, I’m struggling to find my footing and not loving it at all. I can’t help but wonder if anyone else has faced similar challenges. Here are a few thoughts on what’s been tough for me: Lack of Experience: Transitioning to a strategic role means I’m expected to contribute at a level I’m not used to. It feels overwhelming! Missing the Recruiting Buzz: I genuinely enjoy recruiting, and being away from it has made me feel like I’ve lost a part of my passion. Unclear Expectations: S...

You think becoming a specific role like HR generalist is the next logical step; then you can pivot easily to your next role (like L&D or HR leadership) But it's actually just adding an unnecessary step 😬 When you get many rejections while trying to pivot to your dream role it's normal to think it's impossible So you look for alternative paths I get it - you are a problem solver and you can only take so many rejections Here is what is actually happening: 1️⃣ You have been rejected too many times and it has rocked your confidence 2️⃣ Your head and heart are in conflict because you are not really passionate about the specific role like HR generalist role 3️⃣ Managers can sense #1 and #2 so landing that role will be hard too You will keep trying to convince yourself this is the 'right' path and push through. 🔀 But the truth is you have a dream role you want And you can create a direct path ➡ Even if you have been rejected multiple times You just have to stop the chatter in your head & use unconventional ways to attract opportunities Because a non-traditional career move takes non-traditional steps And honestly you deserve the exact role you are passionate about, boo! 🔔 Follow me and share this with 1 person who really needs this today.

Sir, your advice is apt. However, I am more in admiration of the kindness and trust you would have gained from a candidate whom you would have only interacted briefly, wherein he felt comfortable and confident to ask you this question and trusted you to advise him. It is this gesture which wins hearts!
