This is the start of something important. And it took place at the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering (LIHE).   Our inaugural LIHE Breakfast was organised specifically to kick off the creation of a supportive ecosystem for the betterment of health and care provision.   And it fittingly happened at LIHE, the destination for MedTech. With LIHE co-locating King's College London's experts, industry partners such as NVIDIA, Siemens Healthineers and deepc, and being the home of the King's Health Partners Digital Health Hub, already the stage was set for such an event to take place here.   With a keynote by Prof Sebastien Ourselin FREng FMedSci, head of the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences and director of LIHE and the Digital Health Hub, to explain that "digital" is not a future state but that it permeates MedTech and the delivery of care already today, the tone of the event was one of urgency but also one of collaboration.   Hosted by the inimitable Hassan Chaudhury HonFAPM, who worked relentlessly to make certain the right stakeholders were in the room, and organized in partnership with Meet Health Events, the Breakfast was a resounding success by all measures.   We have a series of events to catalyse the ecosystem already planned for 2025.   We are only getting started.

A week ago today, we released the long awaited launch of a breakfast designed to bring together leaders and innovators across the digital health ecosystem, in partnership with London Institute for Healthcare Engineering, King's College London, Hassan Chaudhury HonFAPM and Vita Healthcare Solutions. Digital revolution; collisions; impactful innovation, hottest ticket in town and FOMO are just some of the words we’ve seen used to describe the Breakfast. 💥 With 150 innovators, accelerators, policy-makers, healthcare providers and investors in the room, and hundreds more on the waitlist, the LIHE Breakfast brought together some of the ecosystem's greatest minds and the output was pure energy, innovation and solution building. The morning featured start-up pitches hosted by Alex Merwin at Amazon Web Services (AWS), featuring Cydar Medical, Mindstep and Akrivia Health; a panel discussion chaired by former Health Secretary Stephen Dorrell, with Health Innovation Yorkshire's Chief Data Officer, Phil Waywell and Verena Stocker, NHS England's Director of Innovation, Research, Life Sciences and Transformation Strategy; a Growth Room, curated to enable strategic networking with investors and accelerators, and a Closed Door session with innovators to end the day. 💭 The content that has come out of the Breakfast has been immensely valuable. With too many posts and articles to share, we wanted to ensure we shared some links to just a few of the insightful pieces that summarise the day so well: Silver Buck - https://lnkd.in/gT_Xq-DH Hippo - https://lnkd.in/gWNStdKS Peerr - https://lnkd.in/g52syBAa As we re-enter the planning stages at Meet Health, we are incredibly excited to unveil the things we have in store to further the impactful conversations from the LIHE Breakfast launch, and we cannot wait to re-unite, and grow the data-driven ecosystem even more!
