As the festival of Holi approaches, let's make a conscious effort to celebrate responsibly and conserve water. With the ongoing water crisis in the silicon valley of India, it's important that we take simple steps to avoid further scarcity. Did you know that the city is facing an acute shortage of 500 million liters of water every day, which is about 1/5th of the city's total demand? Let's make a difference by taking small measures such as - Avoid rain dance parties - Skip water balloons and guns - Play with dry organic colors only that wash off easily - If you absolutely want to use water, try to use recycled water, such as water used in the kitchen for washing veggies or eliminated from home water purification systems and so on While we do not have water for drinking and other necessities, using it to celebrate Holi is not such a good idea!
