During any growth or turn around project, you usually come across two kinds of team members. Majority are Reporters. They merely state the facts or assumptions about a situation. They are more of 'describers' and act as as helpless spectators. In short, they don't move the needle much except doing commentary on what's going on and what should others be doing. Rainmakers are usually a minority. However, they are the ones who take it on themselves to make things happen. They don't believe in excuses and reasons. They have the ability to get everybody going. Their energy is almost contagious. It creates collaborations and excitement across the teams about the ongoing change. Find your Rainmakers and empower them.
That is well said. Hence, it is of utmost importance to Identify and empower your Rainmakers to unleash talent and drive change
Yes, Vivek Shukla rain makers are the ones who get up in the morning, throw themselves at rejection, then get up the next day an do it again! These people are optimists: they’re almost always late (“It won’t take long to get there.”) and they care far more about relationships than about specific transactions. So for sales, hire optimists and for marketing hire realists!
Your articulate presentation of key learnings is truly commendable. Irony is the 'describers' even try to convert the 'rainmakers' strengthening their herd.
Thanks for sharing... Kudos to all the rainmakers out there for their dedication and expertise in making it rain for their teams and clients. Their ability to generate opportunities and close deals is truly remarkable.
Rainmakers ! 🙌
