This is how false narratives are built in businesses to deceive. And then the PR team feeds to mindless journalists with a bag full of gold. First as a farce than a tragedy. > First as farce: Blinkit > Zomato Comparing apples with oranges. Blinkit is a logistics company and Zomato is a food delivery company. Why? Why compare the two? > Then the tragedy. Compare Blinkit ( a logistics company ) with FedEx. Some founders are just great at spinning media narratives to manipulate. #startup #entrepreneurship

Everyone's buzzing about Swiggy's massive ₹9000 crore payout. Sounds like a jackpot, right? But hold on— the distribution isn’t a pie everyone gets to share equally; it’s a pyramid. In this power law game, top 10% typically reap majority of the rewards. So, what's the takeaway for us developers? Level up your skills, lead the charge, network strategically, and contribute to the open-source community. Ultimately, in the startup world, the true reward goes beyond financial gains. It lies in the satisfaction of creating something of significance. #innovation #entrepreneurship #leadership #Swiggy

Earlier: COMPETE to win 2024: COLLABORATE to grow The game has changed! Today, collaboration is the new success mantra. Take Zomato and Swiggy – once fierce competitors, now working together during Swiggy's IPO. Globally, we’ve seen similar power moves like Coca-Cola and McDonald’s redefining fast food or BMW and Toyota joining hands to innovate sustainable tech. Collaboration isn’t just strategy – it’s the future. In my journey, partnerships have unlocked perspectives, growth, and results I couldn’t achieve alone. The lesson? Compete less, collaborate more, and watch magic happen. #CollaborateAndGrow #Entrepreneurship #NewNormal

Marketing and innovation produce results; all the rest are costs🚀 Follow Parth Vekariya Now💡If you get know some Quality Stuff! 🤠Peter Drucker, a legendary business guru, once said, “Marketing and innovation are the only two ways to make money.” This is a powerful statement that rings true for countless successful businesses. 🤔Think about it: Red Bull, Zara, and Nike are all brands that have built massive empires without owning factories. They've done it by creating unique products, branding them brilliantly, and reaching the right audience. Even food delivery giants like Zomato and Swiggy are thriving by connecting restaurants to hungry customers, not by cooking the food themselves. #marketing #innovation #business #money #success #entrepreneurship #startup #smallbusiness #peterdrucker

Is the 10-minute food delivery - a niche? The next big thing? Or just another bubble? I just finished reading about Swish the startup that’s aiming to succeed where Zomato couldn’t—promising ultra-fast, 10-minute food deliveries. It got me thinking... Can this model sustain itself long-term? Zomato tried and stepped away, realizing that customer demand is just one piece of the puzzle. Profitability, logistics, and consumer behavior are equally crucial. I can’t help but wonder if the future lies in more specialized niches. What about a niche in 10-minute delivery for health foods or gourmet meals? Or maybe even other industries? In the end, the best business ideas often live at the intersection of innovation and focus. What niche do you think could benefit from hyper-fast delivery models? #Startups #Innovation #Leadership #BusinessModel #Entrepreneurship

I Just Completed "Culture" by Deepinder Goyal and this book is all about How Zomato is doing it. Trust me, it’s amazing to know. I wanted to write a normal book review: Philosophy of the "Zomanian" Culture - "The main idea is that 'you, the individual, don’t matter' as much as the collective. We don't need to compete with our colleagues; instead, we should build relationships similar to how redwood forest trees have their underground intertwined roots because unity is the key to success. Just think for a long run not for a short one because right way is always better than easy way. The key message is to motivate everyone to think and act like they're running their own business. This means being really passionate about taking actions. It tells about both "Being Afraid" and "Not to be Afraid" while taking Risks. While it's natural to worry about because “sometimes staying a little bit afraid keeps the bar high” and these risks are also important for our personal growth and you'll have to take accountability for yourself. It's always better to plan for what to do if things don't go as expected because for any business, startup or a person "THE RISKIEST THING IS TO TAKE NO RISK". #Leadership #BusinessGrowth #StartupMindset #Entrepreneurship #PersonalDevelopment #DeepinderGoyal #CultureMatters #RiskTaking

Anything that is built on the backdrop of load-shit of outside money to modify consumer behavior in a huge market will attract tons of money. The problem arises when most folks and founders confuse it with positive impact. The convenience of eating junk sitting back on your couch isn't a positive impact or novelty especially when you can imagine the healthcare cost and sociological damages these companies will be burdening the world with. Mindless cheering and supporting companies like Zomato and other quick commerce companies are a sure recipe for a failing and unhealthy society. These companies are not markets. They are rent collectors ( feudal lords ) who suck up the entire money both from consumers ( demand ) and restaurants ( supply ) by adding no value to both. > Consumers will be burdened with healthcare costs by making garbage-eating stylish. > Restaurants will extract as much money as possible with no value added to their markets in the longer term It's a "fragile-monopolistic-technology-feudalistic-monopoly" in nature business if you look at its impact in the longer term. #startup #foodtech #quickcommerce #entrepreneurship #founders #zomato

8moFalse narratives in business can be deceiving, indeed. Comparing Blinkit to Zomato is like mixing apples with oranges! It's all about spinning those media narratives for manipulation. What do you think?
