One large factory in the south may plan to bid for high titanium slag 85% in the near future, but because the price of domestic titanium ore is still rising slightly, it is expected that the price of high titanium slag 85% will not be adjusted too significantly. In fact, the price of imported #titanium concentrate has not been reduced much, especially the quotations of high-quality titanium concentrate holders are very strong, so the operating space of domestic high titanium slag enterprises is becoming more and more limited. According to FerroAlloyNet, in the process of continuous price reduction, many high titanium slag manufacturers have reduced production or stopped production. China exported volume of titanium dioxide decreased by 19.74% MoM in April 2024 www.ferroalloynet.com: According to the China Customs Data, the export volume of #titanium dioxide was approximately 157393 tons in April 2024, a decrease of 19.74% month-on-month (March 2024: 196106 tons) but a year-on-year increase of 22.15% (April 2023: 128853.046 tons). Among them, the export quantity of rutile #titanium dioxide (code: 32061111, rutile content ≥ 99.8%, brightness (dry powder L*) ≥ 99.0, namely chloride titanium dioxide) was 32159.333 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 27.97%. Jul 16,2024 Update on Titanium Dioxide Consistent with the market situation analyzed and predicted earlier, due to the relatively low current price level and the continued high prices of raw materials such as titanium concentrate and sulfuric acid,  most manufacturers are still in a difficult situation with great production pressure. More and more manufacturers are gradually choosing to limit production or halt it altogether, leading to a significant drop in overall market supply. There are two obvious characteristics of the trading market:  1. some factories have increased the price of TiO2 by 200-600 yuan/ton;  2. some brands from certain manufacturers already have queued for shipment and are waiting for goods. On the other hand, the actual order volume has increased recently, and both rigid and elastic demands are gradually rising. From this perspective, market demand exists, they are merely observing the market. Additionally, coupled with their judgment and grasp of the market, some channel dealers have started to stockpile, which has prevented manufacturers from establishing inventory positions and has also strengthened the confidence of manufacturers to hold prices firmly. Whether from the perspective of raw material costs or the perspective of their production and inventory, manufacturers generally expect price increases.
