🎉 Excited to share that our team earned two awards at the Apart Research + The Johns Hopkins University AI Policy Hackathon: - The Spotlight Award; and - The Diversity & Inclusion Award! Our project, an AI Advisory Council for Sustainable Growth in the Dominican Republic, proposes a private-sector-driven model for ethical AI governance. Key features include: • A strategic governance structure with balanced representation, • Integration of semiconductor industry capabilities into national planning, • The region’s first AI safety testing hub, and • Workforce transition programs to upskill those impacted by automation. This framework is designed to cultivate an inclusive AI ecosystem, positioning the Dominican Republic as a pioneering leader in Latin America.
