After a long wait (the reactor construction started in Dec 2007), the new European Pressurized Nuclear reactor in Flamanville has been granted permission to achieve low power criticality. This means that the first nuclear chain reactions are ongoing at a very low rate. Eventually, the reactor will put 1650 MW of electrical power onto the grid. This should be achieved in the autumn of this year.

Edit du 17/04/2024 : post modifié. Petite info concernant une "shadow" réforme de la commande publique. Il s'agit de derogations en faveur des projets nucléaires. Le texte a été adopté le 9 avril. Alors à tous les acheteurs publics et juristes de la commande publique, quel est votre avis sur les dispositions du titre II de loi sur la réorganisation de la sûreté nucléaire ? Les avis des professeurs en droit constitutionnel et droit des contrats publics sont les bienvenus. Les dispositions des articles 16, 17, 17 bis, 17 ter et 18 sont concernées. Elle portent sur la possibilité, pour les projets nucléaires : - de déroger à l'obligation d'allotir les marchés (ce que permet déjà la réglementation); - de déroger à la durée maximale des accords-cadres (ce que permet déjà la réglementation); - de modifier les marchés; - d'introduire un critère de crédibilité des offres pour l'attribution des marchés (le conseil d'Etat avait déjà rendu un avis négatif sur cette disposition). Bref des dispositions qui auraient été plus adaptées à la loi sur la relance du nucléaire votée l'an dernier. https://lnkd.in/epbZ66aM
