🚀 The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) Enters into Force Today! 🚀 Over the past years, we've seen significant strides in enhancing digital security and data protection within the EU. From the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which set the gold standard for data privacy, to the NIS2 Directive, which bolstered the cybersecurity of critical infrastructure, and the recent EU AI Act, aimed at ensuring trustworthy AI development and deployment. Today, we see another milestone with the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) officially entering into force. This new regulation is a crucial step towards a safer digital society. A Brief History: 👉 GDPR: Implemented in 2018, GDPR revolutionized data protection by giving individuals greater control over their personal data and imposing strict requirements on organizations handling such data. 👉 NIS2 Directive: Adopted in 2022, NIS2 expanded the scope of cybersecurity requirements to include more sectors and introduced stricter supervisory measures. 👉 EU AI Act: Proposed in 2021, this act aims to ensure that AI systems used in the EU are safe, transparent, and respect fundamental rights. ✔️ The Essence of the CRA: The CRA is designed to enhance the cybersecurity of digital products and services throughout their lifecycle. It mandates that products with digital elements, including software and hardware, are developed with robust cybersecurity measures from the outset.
