Before heading to any conference, it’s worth taking time to prepare to make the most of the experience. I’m going to the GOTO Conferences in Copenhagen next week and, as part of my preparation, I need to figure out which talks to see. That led me to write an article where I share some useful tips to help you make the most of your conference experience! #softwareengineering #GOTOcph

Are you going to the D2 Conferences? If yes, please comment below what the business-related topic you’d like to hear more about. I’ll speak and do a workshop there this year in 14 days. Here are the proposed topics (they are not final yet) 1. How to stand out from the competition. 2. How to navigate in hard times. 3. How to scale your studio. Which one would you like to hear more about? If none, what do you have in mind? I appreciate your suggestions. --------- The attached image is from the last mastermind event in May with Matteo Ferrari, Lasse Rode, and Theodoros Giannopoulos.

Is there some kind of centralized platform (aside from combing the depths of LinkedIn) where organizations can post calls for proposals for their conferences? Or somewhere where I can find relevant conferences in my industry?

Do you attend industry conferences? What's the purpose? Usually, conference presentations are more superficial than articles on the same topics and rarely offer anything truly captivating. From my experience, the most interesting part of conferences is the opportunity to engage with speakers in the hallways and ask questions. Asking questions publicly and asking questions in private settings are vastly different experiences. It's a pity that we can't conduct an independent experiment and try both approaches for the same speakers.

Why conferences are failing at connections and how to change that! That’s the unofficial title of Re-Imagining the Conference Experience: Ingiting Connection and Enriching Engagment, a white paper we’ve just released. People are hungry for connection. Actually, people are sick and dying from the lack of connection in life. Conferences can be an oasis of connection… If you want to take your conference to the next level of connection, contact me. We’d love to join together and do something amazing. #conferences #events #connectionsmatter

The dark truth about attending big conferences 😑 In 6 days, #LondonTechWeek will open, and I will participate in it. Do you know what thoughts come to my mind? It is exciting and worth visiting from the point of view of obtaining new information. However, there is another side of the coin – participation in such an event creates a lot of stress and tension. I don't like such things because it's very noisy and chaotic, and there are thousands of people, some short, meaningless communications when you forget the names of the people you just met there. From the network's point of view, it was always tough for me because you feel like an ant in the middle of a metropolis, and you have to have a particular type of character when you are ready for this kind of event, as I think. So, I am attending it to take a piece of pie with the new information, but on the other hand, I am very well aware that I will need to accumulate my energy to hold on during these days. And how do you feel about such noisy big events?
