It has been a while since I left the Society of Indonesian Science Journalists. Now I am back with Melvinas Priananda, navigating how the organization will move ahead amidst the dynamic situation in the World Federation of Science Journalists. We are so grateful to catch up with our Asian colleagues in Japan, Nepal, and the Philippines, discussing the unification of Asian voices and the possibility of regional collaboration in science journalism. World Press Freedom Day 📰📇✌️ was first established by the United Nations in December 1993. World Press Day is thus celebrated all over the world and the day falls on 3 May. It is a celebration of #freedom of #expression and the dissemination of #information and a reminder that the world’s governments should be mindful of press freedom and prevent the spread of misinformation. Translating the press is important to reach a wider audience. It is also about making sure that the message resonates with people from different language backgrounds. In the press, #timing ⏰ is also key, as it is usually new and urgent information that needs to reach people. While the expansion of Euronews to Central Asia is positive for regional visibility, it underscores a persistent challenge—the way global powers perceive and engage with Central Asia. The region is often viewed not on its own terms but through the lens of geopolitical interests, particularly in relation to Russia and the West. Let's just delve upon some interesting ideas: Central Asia as a Geopolitical Pawn Russian and Western Dynamics: Central Asia frequently becomes a bargaining chip in the geopolitical strategies of global powers. Russia advances its influence in the region when isolated by the West, while the West engages with Central Asia largely as a counterbalance to Russian dominance or for resource-driven interests. This reactive, opportunistic engagement diminishes the region’s agency and identity. Cultural Erasure and Political Bias: Despite cultural richness and economic potential, Central Asia’s stories are often filtered through external narratives that prioritize global power struggles over the region’s inherent significance. Euronews in Central Asia: Opportunity or Instrument? Promoting Local Narratives: The establishment of Euronews’ regional office in Astana and its cultural programs, such as Modern Nomads and Voices from Central Asia, offer opportunities for the region to share its stories globally. However, the channel’s Western roots may still influence the framing of these narratives, potentially reflecting broader geopolitical agendas. Collaboration and Empowerment: Initiatives like the Euronews Academy could empower local journalists, providing them with tools to shape independent narratives. This can help mitigate the external biases that dominate the discourse. The Broader Implications and Relevant Questions For Central Asia to escape this cycle, it must assert its agency and craft its own narratives. Regional collaboration, investment in local media, and platforms for Central Asian voices can help the region define itself outside the shadow of external powers. A key mark in British Sovereignty Global Press History, Journalism & democratic discourse. The Jullian Assange case study represents a critical symbolic status of political responsibility that beckons an example to youth intelligence nation & worldwide in positive political engagement. Journalism is a serious subject that shouldn't be taken lightly as it effect other people's lives but Jullian Assange is only guilty of up loading a prewritten file. With transatlantic relationships a key political environment of Londons international intelligence the argument has to be held in key example of British diplomacy matters of Sovereign rights of national press autonomy & its rules of Londons preserved European status. America is a huge continent with 51 states of which one state does not fully represent the others full political anthropology & beliefs but currently in England American Documentation is intrinsically linked in internal Miltary conflict. An interesting topic of political management & maturity I believe lends its self to American nobility.

Resisting the normalisation of oppression is the way to justice, and there is no peace without justice. This case study, "Community Art Practices from a Multilinguistic and Intercultural Lens for Intercultural Dialogue in the EuroMed Region" explores the concept of community art practices from a multilinguistic approach for intercultural dialogue in the EuroMed region.
