This past week was a vibrant celebration of our DEI&B initiatives, marked by enthusiastic participation from teams across the North American (NAR)region. The activities fostered valuable discussions and learning opportunities, emphasizing our commitment to #diversity, #equity #inclusion and #belonging. We engaged in workshops that highlighted best practices and shared personal experiences, reinforcing the importance of creating an inclusive environment. Participants left feeling empowered and equipped to champion diversity within their own teams. Our dedication to these initiatives remains steadfast, and we look forward to continuing this journey together, ensuring that every #Volkswagen employee feels valued and supported to be themselves and thrive within the organization. #Diveristy #ERGs #DiversityChampions #Inculsion #Belonging #NAR #Volkswagen #VGCA .https://lnkd.in/dTNmxdZC
#Volkswagen North American Region held its 2nd #NAR #Diversity #Week, a week-long series designed to promote awareness, understanding and appreciation of different backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives within the workplace of our more than 20,000 colleagues in the region across #Canada, #Mexico and the #US. A panel that included leaders from various business areas discussed #diversity, #equity, #inclusion and #belonging, along with how it impacts our organization. In the session on #women in the #automotive #industry, #female #leaders spoke on the importance of mentorship, their personal successes, challenges in Their careers, and tackled tough topics such as gender bias. The panel was also joined by a male leader who promoted allyship and reinforced how men can have active and supportive roles while advocating for gender equality and we appreciated Beate Brandes from Volkswagen Group joining the session. Aligning with #World #Mental #Health Day, we held a session on #wellbeing, neurodiversity, microaggressions and #psychological #safety. Events included employee resource group fairs, webinars and DEI dialogs that were held in Ajax, Pickering, and St. Thomas, Canada, Reston, VA, Auburn Hills, MI, Chattanooga, TN and Puebla, MX (or just throughout the region). Special thanks to Vicki Miles, MBA, Shireena Avery, Julia Daciuk-Tapp, Pamela Castellanos Rascón - MBA, SPHRi™ Neetu Banait and all others who organized and hosted virtual and in-person sessions throughout the week. And thanks to all our leaders and employees who act as roles models and ambassadors on these important topics and make our company an open workplace. Through these programs, we want to create an environment where all colleagues feel respected, valued, and empowered. Pablo Di Si Anu Goel Mona T.
