"What an inspiring day at the ATFI annual conference! The theme, #Innovation and Technologies, catalysts for a sustainable economy#, was beautifully exemplified by the rich discussions and passionate presentations. The interactive workshops, such as the #climate fresco# facilitated by Ms. #Nadia Zid Souissi#, #responsible organizations fresco# led by Ms. hashtag #Leila Abbessi#, and the #"COP 2030"# workshop by Ms.#Sallouha Bouzgarrou#, provided a comprehensive view of the challenges and opportunities in the ecological transition. I was particularly drawn to the holistic approach of these workshops, which underscored the interconnectedness of various sustainability levers. The #Climate fresco# offered a compelling framework for understanding the impacts of #climate change#, while the #responsible organizations fresco# emphasized the crucial roles of #governance and #corporate culture# in driving the transition. The hashtag #COP 2030# workshop painted a clear picture of long-term sustainable development goals. As a facilitator of sustainable projects, these workshops equipped me with new tools and perspectives to support organizations in their sustainability journeys. The topics covered, such as green financing, sustainable construction, and a revival of traditional know-how, are at the forefront of contemporary challenges. The conference fostered a strong sense of community. The engaging discussions with fellow participants, the high-quality presentations, and the diverse range of attendees created a stimulating atmosphere. I am convinced that such events play a pivotal role in mobilizing stakeholders and fostering collaborative projects. The workshops I attended have sparked new ideas to facilitate the implementation of transition strategies within organizations. I extend my sincere gratitude to the organizers for such an enriching experience. At the #AGD2024, we were honoured by the presence of H.E. Vice President Dr. Philip Mpango. Reflecting on this year’s theme, "2050… Let’s Go," Dr. Mpango urged the CEOrt to deepen its commitment to unlocking the potential of Tanzania’s youth. He emphasised the importance of addressing youth unemployment, empowering the next generation to harness modern technologies, and supporting research and development (R&D) initiatives, alongside the establishment of technology incubation centres to accelerate the transfer of innovative solutions. Dr. Mpango further reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to global climate goals, noting that climate change currently costs the nation 2-3% of its GDP annually. Acknowledging the CEOrt’s focus on business sustainability, he called for stronger efforts to drive innovative solutions and partnerships that align businesses with national climate objectives. He stated, "The role of the private sector must be unequivocally and imperatively encouraged. Resources from public authorities alone are finite and insufficient to meet the needs of the people." He also highlighted the importance of youth involvement, saying, "We are no longer the future. The future lies with young people.
