Omg, only 11 yrs. 8 months? JFk gets prevented from re-election in 1963, with the big 3 watching. Not until 1975 on a Geraldo late night tv show...we get to see the bootleg? Zapruder film, shown publcly for the first time. Pelosi said we have to pass Obama Care, to read it. Anything change for the better, for all the sheeple...since? What is the current time stamp? They...the overlords that think, they be...don't control us with definitions of truth, they control us with definitions of time. The flow of time is the biggest lie in media history. How did you learn to read...left to right or vice versa? You read and hear my words...in your own voice, between your own ears. Many of you are probably too young to have played the Whac-A-Mole game. It was a lot of fun, and in prehistoric times, when I was growing up, we would often see it at carnivals and malls. For those unfamiliar with these, a carnival was like a makeshift mini amusement park, and a mall was a bunch of stores together with a food court. Sadly, the 2024 version of this game is not nearly as fun. I saw this several times a few months ago, but now it is becoming a new normal. It is basically what I can only consider the job version of the game Whac-A-Mole. Now, we have all seen the same job reposted repeatedly, but a new twist has begun to emerge. I saw one position posted three months ago for $75/hour. It was not great for what they requested, but it was not horrible. Two months ago, the same job description, title, and company, this time, was for $65.00/hour. Ok, fine, budget cuts happen all the time, but whatever. A month ago, I saw this same job, same company, but it is $55.00/hour. I have seen this process play out many times this year, but now the same job is listed again, same company, same title, and requirements, just now for $40.00 an hour. I often joke about salaries becoming a race to the bottom, but I need to stop with the jokes; they are inadvertently giving companies ideas. If I continue to see this game played out, I will be whacking that next company and naming names.

I played a game last year during a break with a friend. He recorded the game step by step - I was leading till I was about to checkmate. In the last sequences of checkmating sequence I made one critical mistake of moving the knight, which costed me the game. Sometimes, life is like that: one wrong move, then it would cost you the game. Same thing could be say about life. Fortunately, we have enough time to learn from our mistakes and move on 😆 I reviewed it today. And thought 💭 maybe 🤔 if I could be more serious or think things through, the results might have been different. Same things could be said about the election results this year. The analysts of the game showed it. But, since we could never rewind the clock, ⏰ my thoughts about what transpired was: Give planning and preparation enough time so success have air to breathe. Meanwhile: learn from one’s mistake. Never make the same mistakes twice. Let that sink in.

Players love the sound effect of good luck.  Sfx has the power to make it a euphoric event. Choosing sound effect of bad and good luck, remember: - 90% of a sound effect that works well is base sound (e.g., uplifting bells) - 10% of SFX are sounds that define the vibe of the game  - 100% of players will remember the event if sound is effective No one knows your game like you do. I didn't think this was possible, but there we go. I'm generating the rooms, path, side paths, checks + loading between 30-40 sublevels in less than a second. If I quick skip the cinematic my character, HUD, and weapons are not even initiliazed, so I need to add that check now to the the loading screen, never needed it! The first level generation system of CRETE was about 60 seconds. Second with partial multithread 45 seconds. Third with full multithread 25-30 seconds. Fourth (The one of the latest playtest) could vary between 5-10 seconds. The algorithm is a bit more inspired by WFC (with high entropy to make it faster, a.k.a most tiles are compatible with most neighbour tiles, etc) Now: Fith generation is between 0.5 and 1 second. How? Better array use for cell overlap checks. This lowkey obsession was triggered when I played tons of 2d roguelikes years ago, including Spelunky or Crypt of the Necrodancer. There was a lot of fun of starting badly and restart superquick. I really want to give players the options to comeback ultrafast when they die. Many players enjoy the metaprogression in the island lobby, but there will be others with that "restarting forever attitude" if things start badly, and I RESPECT that cause I'm one of them.
