This might seem surprising, so let's explain it a little better: The Pre-production stage includes brainstorming, scripting, storyboarding, location details, and scheduling. Each of these parts requires meticulous planning and coordination to ensure the shoot runs smoothly. Once filming wraps up, post-production begins, which is where the raw footage is transformed into a polished final product. Editing, adding visual effects, sound design, color correction, and more happen here. Editing is particularly time-intensive, and sound design and visual effects can also be elaborate, requiring a lot of detailed work. In short, while filming might take a few days or weeks, pre-production and post-production can extend longer. For us, investing time in these stages ensures that the final product is engaging, professional, and aligns with the client's vision! 📹 #Poorbearstories #videoproduction #videoforbusiness #videomarketing

It amazes me how many filmmakers and editors still think it is a train smash when there are multiple scenes without a slate in the sound and footage. In my extensive experience with sound mixing and engineering, I have found that many long-established video producers and filmmakers are unaware of the powerful time-code synchronization features available in modern post-production software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro. Recently a film producer/film editor told me that the footage they shot for the day has no slate at all and that editing the work will be incredibly near close to impossible. I told him if both the camera has camera sound then we can sync in seconds. No need to skim through the footage. He didn’t believe me till I showed him myself in the hired studio. I have noticed that people in predominately filmmaking don’t know technical solutions like this. It is typically those in video production such as corporate videos that know these solution. This experience underscores a vital lesson for all professionals in the field: even the most experienced film editors and video producers cannot possibly master every nuance of software like Premiere Pro. The landscape of technology is ever-evolving, and staying ahead requires a mindset of continuous learning and adaptation. Embracing this ongoing educational journey is not only beneficial but essential for keeping our skills sharp and relevant. ##FilmEditing #EditingTips #FilmProduction #ContentCreation #MediaProduction

This is because Media Composer SUCKS! 😂🗑️ You can build entire broadcast television shows with Premiere without ever OPENING After Effects. 🥱 Except the people in charge of creating these "job offers" don't know that. They think EVERYBODY uses AE when they don't. What exactly are you going to need to make in AE? 🤔😂 How come whoever you're working for didn't hire an actual Graphic Artist? How come whoever you're working for didn't hire someone SKILLED in creating intros? 🤔 Because they're trying to get some Jack-of-all-trades to sit there and struggle forever to make their deadline so they can save money. If you're an Editor, 🧙♂️ Edit.

I’ve always said that postproduction is where the real magic happens. Even if you’ve shot incredible footage, it’s in the post where everything comes together—editing, color grading, sound design, and VFX. This is where your project turns into a cohesive story that captivates your audience. 💡 Tip: Never rush the postproduction phase. Quality takes time, and it’s worth investing that time if you want a polished result. Want to see how my postproduction process works? Check out my portfolio 👉 https://buff.ly/4eJVteZ

So here's the thing. 😂🤦♂️ MEDIA COMPOSER, which for some reason people call "Avid" 🤷♂️ SUCKS compared to Premiere. Therefore, if you accept "Avid" work and you're a PREMIERE editor, you're going to have a horrible time. Also, you won't be able to provide your client Value For Money. However long this project would have taken you in Premiere, EXTEND THAT IMMENSELY!!! 😂🤦♂️ What the poster should do in this situation is ASK THE POTENTIAL CLIENT what functions they require and then DOWNLOAD THE FREE 30-DAY TRIAL and ***PRACTICE*** until he or she is confident that they can do what the client wants AND THEN accept the work. 🤪 This is like saying you're good at riding motorcycles and then someone wants to hire you to ride a bicycle. It's two different things. Two different programs. They don't work the same way. On top of that, the poster is claiming to be "an experienced Premiere Editor" but the job is for an ASSISTANT EDITOR, which is AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT SKILL SET! 😂🤡 If you don't know that, you've never worked with an AE so you have no idea what the responsibilities of an AE are. 🙄 It's amusing to me how people have no idea that there are several different disciplines in Editing. I think it's because I'm from Manhattan so I've always worked with TEAMS. - Graphics are not my problem - Color Correction is not my problem - Audio Mixing is not my problem - Videography is not my problem People hire me to turn their raw footage into a coherent, immersive, perfectly-timed final program. 🧙♂️ If somebody asks you to do something that you have no idea how to do, 😂 collect the information (if they even know it themselves) about what your RESPONSIBILITIES would be, make sure you are 100% confident in your ability to deliver that to the client, and then accept the work. #WhereDoTheyGetThesePeople? #FirstWorldProblems
