The central German state of Hesse has set itself the goal of sourcing its electricity entirely from renewable sources by 2045. To achieve this ambitious target, an increase in installed capacity by sixfold by 2030 is necessary. Consequently, a continuous and reliable expansion of renewable energy is essential. 🌎💚 Since 2013, the VSB Group has actively contributed to this initiative in Hesse. 🌬☀️ Our Vockenrod wind farm, serenely situated in the Antrifttal in the Vogelsberg area, is now equipped with three modern Nordex N149-5.X wind turbines, which together generate a capacity of 17.1 megawatts. There’s more good news: Following a successful bidding process in February, we have received permission to expand the wind farm. Construction for two additional turbines is planned for the fourth quarter of 2024, with expected operational commencement in the spring of 2026. 🙌 Further information: 👉 https://lnkd.in/dMBXYCmd (English Version) 👉 https://lnkd.in/dVStV-Fp (German Version) #VSBGroup #Vockenrod #WindFarm #Hesse #WindEnergy #Sustainability #greenandclean

Norway is advancing its first-ever "wall of turbines" project, supported by a 1.2 billion kroner (US$107 million) grant from Enova. Developed by Wind Catching Systems (WCS), the project will feature 40 one-megawatt turbines at a demonstration site northwest of Bergen, in Øygarden, generating 99 GWh of energy annually. Set for completion by 2029, this project is part of Norway’s initiative to make floating offshore wind energy more efficient and affordable, with plans for 30 GW of offshore wind energy by 2040. #Norway #WindEnergy #OffshoreWind #RenewableEnergy #FloatingTurbines #WindCatchingSystems #ClimateAction #WindPower #OffshoreWindFarm

A very well written article on the origins of Offshore Wind in parallel to the development of Motion Compensated Gangways. #offshorewind #ampelmann #offshore
The North Sea stands at the heart of offshore wind energy and plays a crucial role in Europe’s renewable energy strategy, driving ambitious targets. Ampelmann Operations cutting-edge gangway systems have transformed offshore access, ensuring safe and efficient operations even in the most challenging conditions. These innovations are now essential for the rapidly expanding global offshore wind sector. While the world’s first offshore wind farm, Vindeby, was built in the Danish Baltic Sea, it’s the North Sea where offshore wind truly came of age. #OffshoreWind #RenewableEnergy #NorthSea #SustainableEnergy #WindEnergy #Ampelmann #Innovation #EnergyTransition Mina Nacheva

So proud to be part of this project, transforming the world. I only need one line of this article to be amazed of the magnitudes of what we are all doing todether: "One rotation of the SG14-236 powers a household for 3 days"
We are thrilled to announce that our SG 14-236 DD turbines will power the new Windanker offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea, in partnership with Iberdrola Renewables. This project not only reinforces our commitment to renewable energy but also underlines our strong cooperation in building Germany's so-called Baltic Hub. ☑️ With the Windanker project, Siemens Gamesa is building its 23rd offshore wind farm in German waters. ☑️ For the first time, the company will install its most powerful offshore turbine in Germany. ☑️ One rotation of the SG 14-236 DD is enough to supply a household with clean energy for three days. We're excited to be part of this significant step forward in the German renewable energy market and look forward to working together towards a greener future! 💚🌍 #Windanker #WindEnergy #GreenInnovation

🤔 What would be the best analogy for brokering innovation? Is it like playing the matchmaker between problems and solutions? Is it like solving a crossword, where you look for the correct word? Or is it like solving a puzzle…you search for the missing piece to complete the picture. Maybe sometimes is to set up the table, provide a nice environment and encourage others to sit around, learn from each other, and cooperate. #ADRIONWIND soon starts, offering SMEs in the #wind sector tailored programmes for capacity building and knowledge transfer. A new Interreg IPA ADRION Programme is about to kick-off in #Zagreb, under the coordination of University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture #windenergy #offshorewind #REs #renewables #innovation #Interreg

Our CEO, Stephen Bull OBE, will deliver the opening keynote at the Stavanger Energy Conference hosted Universitetet i Stavanger (UiS) today. Offshore wind holds great potential for building significant expertise and capacity within Norway’s offshore and maritime industries. By investing in floating offshore wind, Norway not only strengthens its energy portfolio but also plays a pivotal role in the global energy transition, positioning itself as a leader in the renewable energy sector. Floating offshore wind, in particular, could unlock a tremendous renewable energy potential on a global scale by tapping into stronger wind resources further from shore. The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that the potential could be more than 10 times the world’s current electricity demand. Floating wind technology could truly be a game-changer for the global energy landscape. We look forward to engaging discussions and insightful panel sessions throughout the day. #offshorewind #floatingwind #event
