VSH recently hosted a lecture titled ‘Diagnosing and Treating Coagulopathies in Dogs and Cats’🎙️, led by Dr Paula Valiente, our Specialist in Veterinary Internal Medicine for veterinarians in Hong Kong. Dr Paula provided attendees with an in-depth overview of the #clotting mechanism, explored the clinical signs of primary and secondary #haemostaticdisorders, and demonstrated how to use and interpret #diagnostictools 🔬. Are we doing enough to address this issue? What are the current gaps in our knowledge, and how can we work together to do better as a profession? Veterinarians from the CityU Centre for Animal Health and Welfare (CAHW), CityU Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences, City University of Hong Kong are working in collaboration with several organizations to conduct a 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗴𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘀. We want to understand veterinarian’s current attitudes and practices on the use of analgesics and techniques related to acute and chronic pain management in cats.
