【Knowledge Exchange Never Stops! #VetMasterclass August Highlights 🧑🏫】 This summer, the VSH team didn’t just continue to provide top-notch care for every patient, but also fostered knowledge exchange within the local veterinary community. Last month, the masterclasses we hosted attracted many veterinary professionals, creating a vibrant atmosphere! 🎙️ On the first day of the month, our Neurology Specialist, Dr Josep Brocal, shared with family veterinarians about #caninespinalcorddiseases, using real case videos to help with diagnosis. 🎙️ In the third week, two of our specialist vets gave back-to-back talks: Oncology Specialist, Dr Andrea Mosca, discussed the diagnosis and treatment of #histiocyticdiseases, emphasising the importance of accurate information for prognosis and treatment. 🎙️ Dentistry Specialist, Dr Cedric Tutt, introduced the basics of #animaloralanddentalstructures to a group of veterinary nurses, teaching them to identify common dental diseases in pets and basic dental techniques. 🎙️ At month’s end, our Veterinary Anaesthesia Specialist, Dr Hiroki Sano, spoke at the #InternationalVeterinaryNursingConference on methods to ensure #anaesthesia safety, attracting over 100 veterinary nurses. As we enter a new season, VSH will continue to work with the industry to share more veterinary and pet care knowledge! #VSH #proactive #knowledgeexchange #veterinaryeducation #veterinarycare #abetterworldforpets #proudlymvh #proudlymvhasia #proudlymars Bret BenjaminDanny LoCharisse Luk, DVMJimmy ChangKatherine Ho

Attention All Veterinarians, Veterinary Nurses and Vet Techs - Please take this very short survey! Do you sometimes feel like you're seeing the same pet for the same issues over and over with no real solution in sight? It's frustrating to prescribe something that often leads to relapses, just to find yourself in the same cycle again. I understand this feeling all too well because I was a practicing "traditional" vet for 20 years! After two decades in the field, I made the transition to integrative veterinary medicine, and it has been a game-changer. I've experienced firsthand the limitations of relying solely on traditional methods. Integrating alternative methods has had a transformative effect on my patients, their caregivers, and my own professional satisfaction. I recognize that venturing into integrative medicine may seem daunting, especially if it's not what you were taught or what you're familiar with. I have collaborated with many vets who had this same mindset to begin with however after learning more they too have learned the incredible results alternative therapies give us and our patients. I would be grateful if you would take a minute out of your day and fill in this very short survey on your perspective on integrative vet medicine. We wanted to share an article from the The Veterinary Nurse - The regurgitating kitten, that depicts the diagnosis, treatment and surgical procedures used to help this patient. https://lnkd.in/gs7JXbYd If you've read the article, tell us in the comments below, what did you learn or find interesting? Did you catch our blog post on Vascular Ring Anomaly? https://zurl.co/YXMn Despite having a voracious appetite, most kittens with vascular ring anomaly will fail to grow and be thin due to malnutrition caused by constant regurgitation. Please share this article with others who may need to know about this serious condition.
