Employees who do not respond quickly to other employees or customers have to go. In a 7/24 business environment there is an expectation that all employees must respond in a timely manner. No exceptions.

"You're just the software police, always saying no!!" I'm sure that if you work in IT Asset Management, you have been called the "Software/Hardware Police" when declining a request. There's always a reason as to why you are saying no - it may be unapproved software or hardware, something you do not have enough licenses for, or something that poses a security risk. We don't say "no" for fun.... most times! There's always a business reason for it - not a personal decision. Make sure when declining a request for Hardware or Software that you explain the reasoning. Make it clear - this is business, this is what is for the good of the organisation. So, keep being the "Software Police" - your InfoSec, HR, Legal, Finance etc teams will thank you, even if the end-user doesn't share the same opinion! 😉 #ITAM #SAM #HAM #IT #CTO #CIO

Expert mode options :- Change authorization: This option we will use when we create new role and modify old role Expert mode: 1.Delete and recreate authorizations and profile (All authorizations are recreated. Values which had previously been maintained, changed or entered manually are lost. Only the maintained values for organizational levels remain.) 2.Edit old status (The last saved authorization data for the role is displayed. This is not useful, if transactions in the role menu have been changed.) 3. Read old data and merge with new data (If any changes happen in SU24 Authorizations we have to use this)

Did you know a new Job Queue status called Waiting has been introduced since BC v24.2? This status is particularly relevant for job queue entries that have been assigned a category code. It signifies that the job is scheduled, but the underlying task isn’t active yet. Once the job queue entry that’s currently running in the same category finishes, the status of the next job in the category with the status Waiting transitions to Ready. There can be situations in which many T24 OFS 💹 requests are generated, and your core banking system can't process them in real time. When your system slows down, OFS messages could pile up, and your Bank might process customer requests too late. In one of our projects, our customer's requirement was: "As a T24 service owner, I would like to receive a problem ticket if there are more than 1000 OFS messages in the online or the offline queue." Our monitoring approach was + Validate the number of messages in the OFS offline and OFS online queue + Visualize these numbers on Dashboards + Create metric events and add appropriate thresholds + Add alerting conditions to escalate such issues If you want to transform your monitoring from reactive to proactive and reduce MTTR by 90%, reach out; we are happy to help. Close of business is crucial for any 💹 core banking system. The most common issue you might face is the COB getting stuck for known or unknown reasons. When we come across such situations, what should we do? As T24 consultants, we might have run and monitored COB at certain stages of our careers. Based on our real-time experience, let us give you a few tricks for handling such situations. + Check for USER corruption What happens if the TSA.SERVICE user for COB is set to INPUTTER. If the USER record is corrupted, the entire COB will crash for a while. We won't be able to log in or perform any activity with the INPUTTER user. So, we must avoid resetting/using INPUTTER users at any cost, or the bank has to use a dedicated USER in TSA.SERVICE. + Check COMO files First, we need to find out which job is causing the issue, and then we need to check the corresponding COMO to find out what is happening. Read more about six additional COB getting stuck troubleshooting steps on our blog. Happy Performance Engineering 😊 #T24 #COB #Tuning #Performanceengineering #Corebanking https://lnkd.in/eEZgtY_B

Small takeaways from almost 14 years as a #temenos #t24 consultant: constantly learn new things even outside Transact, be creative to find solutions, workarounds for various issues, and come up with creative solutions for different requirements. Sticking to what you learned a year ago won't cut it; different clients, project setups, and requirements demand flexibility. Another key lesson: simpler solutions work better and lead to fewer headaches down the line.

T24 COB - who does it for you? Yes, backup of the pre COB state, just in case, stop interfering processes, start and monitor the process of COB, check and resolve EB.EOD.ERROR, start the processes for the new day and etc, depending on your organisation. I guess you say T24 administrator. Ok, fair enough. But what if you do not have one? Not good I guess. I brought some Oompa Loompas to my T24 factory. And they do it well for me. All described above and more. My Oompa Loompas script does not mind working off office hours. And it never forgets to send me puncutually notification to my Teams channel. Discipline and quality of their work is perfect. Do you want to meet my Oompa Loompas? #t24 #temenos #OpenToWork
