💥Stress Can Look Like... 💥 Stress can look like restless, anxious energy. When we're stressed, our bodies are in a heightened state of alertness, leading to feelings of agitation and unease. This can manifest as fidgeting, difficulty sitting still, or a constant sense of being on edge. This is our body's way of giving us more energy to resolve the challenges we're facing. Recognising this means we can understand where these restless, anxious feelings come from and look for effective ways to best support ourselves. #StressAwareness #Wellbeing #Anxiety #Mindfulness #CalmMind #EnergyBoost

This is a great tool for managing emotions. As basic as walking may seem, a brisk rhythmic walk can help to lift off stress or provide soothing relief when struggling with difficult emotions. It can help you to build emotional resilience by tuning into how strong and powerful your body is and how it's capable of getting you around. I value consistency over duration or intensity when it comes to my daily walk. By focusing on what you can do consistently instead of total perfection (even if that is just walking 2 minutes a day or less to start!) you're more likely to form healthy habits and reach your goals. #mindfulness #holistictherapy #mentalhealthawareness #anxietyrelief #anxiety #holistic #dallastherapy #dallascounseling #holistichealing #mentalwellness #mentalhealth #trauma #traumatherapy #selfcare #anxietysupport #traumahealing #therapy

When stress hits, our bodies activate the sympatho-adrenomedullary system, releasing neurotransmitters like epinephrine, norepinephrine, serotonin, and GABA. While EPI and NE boost alertness and energy, serotonin and GABA promote calmness and a positive mood. Chronic stress, however, depletes these crucial neurotransmitters, leading to mood imbalances. Stay mindful and manage stress for better well-being! #mindfulness #stresshormone #functionalmedicine #stressmanagement #wellness
